Thread: Captain Snivy's Sprite Contest

Hey. I'm here to make the first sprite contest that I've done for quite a while; and I was the one who started off sprite contests in these very forums, so I decided to make a comeback.

THE RULES

1. At least try and make your sprite a decent quality, such as PNG. If you can't, try and use the next best quality.
2. At most, there can only be 10 entrants.
3. You must send your entry in before the deadline, as I won't rate it afterwards.
4. You must enter a sprite, and not any other form of artwork.

JUDGING

The entries will be judged on the following aspects:

• Originality: If your entry is original and is creative, you will get a higher score.
• Tidyness/Neatness: If your entry is neat and tidy, and seems to be a good quality, you will get yourself a high score.
• Theme: Did your entry fit in with the theme, and does it have the right features? If so, a higher score for you.
• ...and finally, Skills: Did you use skills such as; recolours, splices, etc? Higher score for you, then!

You will get a mark out of ten for each aspect, and they are all added up to get a mark out of forty. For example, you could get:

Originality: 8/10
Tidyness: 6/10
Theme: 9/10
Skills: 6/10

That would get you 29/40. The entry with the highest score will be the winner. In the case of a draw, I will randomly pick the winner using a dice, flipping a coin, etc.


THE THEME

This week, the theme is Pokémon splices.You can use any many Pokémon as you want, and you can think of any design you want. However, there is a twist; your Pokémon splice must be made by only using Gen V Pokémon.

Your deadline is Thursday 20th January 2011. Your entry must be in by 11:59 PM that day, else your entries will be not rated. The results will be in on either Friday 21st or Saturday 22nd.

That's what I think about them. That's why I chose that you could only splice using Gen V Pokémon. v_v
