Pretty sure I met the MCR with this post, I hope.
IC: The Skarmory emerged from the ball, still asleep and burned. I knew it was still burned because when it came out the steel bird roared in pain. The burn also brought down the health to the dangerously low point. The Hyperball came out and flew straight to our Ranger's face. It sounded like it hurt a bit. Swablu on the other hand had had enough and was now resting in the Parkball Siless had threw. Now the Skarmory couldn't rely on the sly Swablu for what to do, even though it was asleep and it wouldn't be much help anyways.
"Congrats!" I called out happily. He had finally captured the Swablu. Now that the fluffy blue wing cloud Pokemon was out of the way, capturing the Skarmory should be much easier. However, I felt so much pressure. I was good at reading signs of Pokemon and could easily tell when they were about to faint from exhaustion. This Skarmory could not take another attack, let alone any more burn damage. If it did, it would surely faint from low health and I would be struck out of luck. At this point I was thinking about using my Supreme Parkball. It was almost as good as a Masterball. I knew that that would definitely secure my Pokemon. Though, I felt that using another Hyperball would do the trick. If it didn't then I would probably regret not using the Supreme Parkball, even if it was the only one I had.
My Ranger handed me back my Hyperball that had hit her in the face. I quickly nodded and continued looking at the Skarmory. If I took too long waiting, the burn damage would surely knock it out before I got the chance to throw my Hyperball again. This was my final chance to get the Skarmory in the ball and onto my team. No pressure or anything. I just took a deep breath.
Part of me wanted to give the Skarmory some of the healing potions I had brought, but I knew wild untamed Pokemon wouldn't take stuff like this from us humans. At least if they did it'd be rare and they would have to be really friendly. Chances of finding those were slim to none. Though, some Pokemon on this island seemed more friendly than the wild ones on other places, so it just might work, that and the fact that it was asleep and somewhat unaware of what it was doing.
I looked at the red and black Hyperball and was about to throw it. I was a bit hesitant about it, and wanted to let Mindbender throw it again, but I felt like I had to do this one this time. I knew I could make it, but that wasn't the point. I readied my aim.
If I see it go off balance or you miss, I'll redirect it towards him. Mindbender said to me telepathically.
Thanks for the confidence! I replied sarcastically.
I know you'll make it, but you never know, the wind could knock it off or something could happen. She said, trying to make it sound better.
Yeah, I guess, I said, If I don't make this shot or it doesn't stay in the ball, it will definitely faint.
I was getting the same readings. She said. I just nodded, brought my arm back, and threw the Hyperball at a pretty fast speed. I watched and waited to see if the ball would hit the Skarmory, and more importantly, if it would take it in and be a successful capture.
