"Use Zen Headbutt!" Ashley shouted, striking an odd pose in the mean time. I laughed and gave her a friendly push as she blushed a bright red colour. Gardevoir, on the other hand, lowered her head and closed her eyes. Soon a majestic royal blue colour enveloped her head and she tore forward, like a speeding torpedo. The Poliwag watched in amusement at this depiction of a "human canon" and began to clap loudly before Gardevoir rammed into her. This Poliwag was using Encore to try and keep Ashely's Pokemon using the same attack. That wasn't really a great idea.

Poliwag slumped backwards and fell to ther ground. It looked so tired, almost as though it would fall asleep immediately. "This is a perfect opportunity!" I told Ashely. "Try and catch the Poliwag," I added, seeing the Poliwag struggle to get to it's feet.

"This is a perfect opportunity!" James told me. "Try and catch the Poliwag," James said as we were watching the poor little water Pokemon trying to stand up. I knew it even without him telling me. First of all that little thing loked exhausted so it wouldn't struggle too and I didn't want to hurt it anymore. Gardevoir felt the same and looked at me with a question in her eyes, asking me if I wanted to continue the battle.

"I don't want to hurt it too much." I said taking out one of my Parkballs. I pointed it at Poliwag, as if it would grant me better aim and threw it at it. The Poliwag got hit on its head and then it disappeared into the Ball in a flash of red light... and a fancy sound effect.

"I don't want to hurt it too much," Ashley said as she flung one of her last Park Balls. It sailed through the air and clonked the cute Poliwag in the head. The tadpole was absorbed inside and the ball wiggled once... twice.. it stopped.

"Nice job!" I smiled as I picked up the Park Ball and stowed it in my bag. "Now wher-" I started but was cut across by my emergency phone ringing loudly. I flipped it up. "Hello?... Yes, yes. Immediately. We're on our way, sir!" I said quickly. "Come on, Ashley," I said to her. "We have a special mission to do!"

I nearly started jumping out of happiness when the Ball stopped wiggling. The thing was that I'd always wanted a Poliwag and that day was the day when I finally caught it. However, my joy was interrupted by James' phone call that sounded like anything but good. James' voice suddenly changed from his cheerful one into a lot more serious and I knew this wasn't nice. Although, when he turned the phone off, he returned to his old self so maybe it was just because of the boss. I wasn't really sure but I realised I would find out when he turned to me and said:

"We have a special mission to do!" I was wondering what could be so urget but there was nothing I could do about it, maybe just ask. He immediatelly turned away and started walking so I did my best to ctch up to him.

"What is so important?" I hoped he wouldn't tell me something general that would mean nothing at all since people like him tend to give these answers when the question is unconvenient or when they simply don't want to talk about it.

"What is so important?" Ashely asked nervously. I didn't really have too much time to talk, but I felt like it would be rude for me to ignore her. I shuffled my feet nervously.

"Something... unusual happened," I said slowly. "There is a vicious Gyarados well-known around these parts and it seems as though... he has attacked a poor Pokemon. We should go and save it!" I said enthusiastically.

We ran off along the beach until we both grew tired and had to stop. The ground began to shake and I heard a powerful roar, followed by a squeel. Out of the water, the head of a huge Gyarados poked. It looked so vicious. But, it wasn't alone... there was a little Feebas trying to swim away. "Ashley, we should help the Feebas!"

OOC: I told you I was writing an extremely long Magikarp story. :-P It's exactly 7270 characters. My longest post so far. XD

James didn't look to be pleased by my question and I figured out it was something either dangerous or scary. He looked a little nervous when he started and I got a bad feeling. I nearly regretted that I asked but I couldn't take my question back and pretend I didn't say it.

"Something... unusual happened," He begun slowly and clearly as if he was thinking deeply about each word he said and wasn't sure whether he found good words for it. There was a small pause and I nearly felt like asking again when he suddenly decided to conitnue.

"There is a vicious Gyarados well-known around these parts and it seems as though... he has attacked a poor Pokemon." Then his voice changed, as if someone else took over him and he bursted, "We should go and save it!" I found this a little bit weird, since only a while ago, he acted as if we were heading to a funeral and now it all felt like a crazy game. I didn't know what to say because it all sounded strange but I knew that we shouldn't leave the Pokemon to be hurt by something as fierce as a Gyarados. I regretted not taking an electric Pokemon with me, because it would come handy in this situation.

After a while, James begun running and I followed him. It seemed like the problem was worse that I had thought because he kept running until he got too tired to run. I wasn't as fit as him so it took me a while to catch up to him and then I couldn't catch breath. The whole marathon made me nearly unable to do something so I just fell down and sat on the sand. While we were running, we returned to the beach and passed most of the things we had seen before that day. In the end we found ourselves on the beach, next to small rocks, that were hinting on the border of the beach. The giant lake was in front of us and we could see two rivers coming from it certainly flowing into the sea. They were situated at the opposite sie of the lake.

Suddenly, the ground shook and we heard a loud roar. At first I covered my ears and closed my eyes but when I opened them I couldn't see anyhting out of the ordinary. Only James was staring at the lake wth his mouth open as if he had seen a ghost Pokemon. I couldn't understand what was going on but when I looked better I noticed a small swimming thing in the middle of the lake that headed for one of those rivers. When it seemed that it reached one of them a giant water serpent poped out of the water swiftly, what created a wave that pushed the little thing away. The big thing was a Gyarados, probaby the one James was talking about. After the wave disappeared, the small thing did its best to swim away from the giant fearsome Pokemon and towards the other river. It was obviously trying to get away from the lake to run away from its predator. However, the water serpent had different plans. It wanted to play with the small, judging by the way it was swimming, fish Pokemon a bit more.

I finally decided to pull out my Pokedex and made it work, so that I could figure out what kind of Pokemon that was. It took me a while to find it in my bag since it was comlpetely at the bottom, under a lot of useless and sharp stuff. I was glad I didn't have a knife there because if I did my hand would end up there too without worrying about being connected to my body. My Pokedex was light grey blue, a colour I loved and found interesting. It took me a long time to find one like that but it was worth it even though I treated it worse than if it had a different colour. When I managed to open it, forgetting chocolate on top of Pokedex during summer will backfire, I smashed it on the ground because it refused to work. After I finally made it turn on, I immediatelly pointed it at the swimming fish Pokemon. It took it a while to recognise it but I didn't blame it since it was rather difficult. That Pokemon was a Feebas, a strange Pokemon that had a lot in common with Gyarados. I was wondering whether there was a reason that Gyarados, the kind that could be considered Feebas' brother, attacked it.

Meanwhile, Feebas got to the other river but Gyarados jumped form water in front of it once again and so the Pokemon headed for the other river. It must have been really tired since it was probably swimming like this for a long time. This Gyarados was really malicious and cruel becuase doing such a thing like this was worse than if it attacked it directly. However, it gave us a better opportunity at saving it. My psychic Pokemon obviously felt bad for the small thing so she let out a saddened cry. I patted her on her head and ensured her that we wouldn't just stand there watching.

I looked at James and asked, "Would you mind if I made sure that that Gyarados won't try anything similiar in a while?" I forgot about being nervous in front of other people and let out a considerably long sentence judging by my timidity. The reason for my temorary courage was that I hated when someone, or something for that matter, was hurting something a lot weaker than it in a really nasty way like this. I looked at Gardevoir and back at the giant Pokemon. She wasn't the best choice to face it so I had to go with my emergency Pokemon. Torterra was quite weak to ice moves but I knew she could handle a few hits with ease. I didn't worry about waiting for James' reply because I was going to make that Gyarados regret its actions anyway.

In a beam of light, Torterra appeared on the scene with a loud cry that caught the attention of the two. Since there was no time to waste and Gyarados had an advantage, I decided to make sure it wouldn't last long.

"Use Wood Hammer on Gyarados and when you get close enough, use Toxic before you hit it!" I shouted at Torterra, who just nodded and felt fired up. Battle like this was a challenge but that made it that much more appealing to her. She wanted to shine, so she came to a palm nearby and leaned against it with her front paws. Then, she pulled it out of the sand and put it into her mouth. She shook her head to drop as much ground as possible so that it wouldn't be heavy. Then she ran towards the lake and leapt into the air and took the palm into her hands again. Those two in the lake were staring at her with surprise in their faces and I could have sweared that Gyarados' mouth openened even more. Torterra started falling earlier than intended but then she suddenly rose again. I looked at Gardevoir with a suspicious look but she just smirked. During the jump, Torterra's cheeks started filling with poisonous liquid that she intended to spit at Gyarados' face. They became at least three times as big as usually and her eyes got a strange red colour. She probably filled her cheeks too much in order to hit Gayrados' for sure.

She raised the palm in her front legs over her head, preparing to use the moves in succesion. At first she would spit the poison at her oponent so that it wouldn't be able to see. It wouldn't be able to predict her next move properly since it would be blinded for a short amount of time and so it would be confused for a while. She would abuse that moment to strike it with that palm that was in her hands and then use it as a boat so that she wouldn't drown. Or at least I hoped that was her plan, because she was about to carelessly throw herself into the water even though she couldn't swim.

"Would you mind if I made sure that Gyarados doesn't do anything similar for a while," Ashley said. She was clearly feeling sorry for the poor scardd feebas. I don't really blame her, to be honest. Gyarados could be rather cruel, whether they realised it or not.


"No, I know you can do it. Be careful around the Feebas though. It might get scared away easily.

"Use Wood Hammer on Gyarados and when you get close enough use Toxic before you hit it."

Torterra lunged into the water and bounded ahead, splashing water up into the air as it charged forward. It's eyes glowed a dark red and I could see a bubble of purple toxin building upin Torterra's mouth. Gyarados changed his attention from the weak Feebas to a much more interesting target. It began to swim towards Torterra at quite a quick speed. It looked as though they were going to have a head-first collision.

"Gyar!" Gyarados hissed as it came to a halt.

"Terra," Torterra shouted, spitting out the poison bubble. The bubble struck the Gyarados head on, startling it and showering him in the disgusting purple liquid that oozed out. This gave Torterr enough time to raise it's collasol foot into the air and send it crashing into the fearsome Gyarados. Torterra looked hurt by the attack and retreated back a little. Gyarados sneered at him before diving into the deeper parta of the water, hiding from view. This was not good for a Ground type to be out in the water like this.

The Feebas stuck its head into the water as Kiryu tried desperately to wake up the Lucario that can now speak. To be honest, I was so surprised by the chain of events that I didn't notice the fishes below swim away at Feebas' warning. I was only disturbed when a pungent odor reached my nose. Feebas was in a floating ice ball, only half-filled with water to maintain the feeble buoyancy, and around it was purple, bubbling water. It looked dangerous to swim in, definitely. It was Feebas' Toxic, poured into the water. When the ice ball melts, Feebas will have to sweep away the poisoned water. "Don't touch the water, it's Toxic. Find a way to get rid of it or something." I said.

I bit my lip roughly, not in a masochistic way, and yelled more. It was no good since Archer was sound asleep and speaking of poffins of many different flavors. It was a disaster as the pungent smell of a Toxic attack filled my nostrils and caused me to gag a bit. It was a horrible smell and to make it worse, the Feebas used it twice. Lapras took the brunt of it and also got it into it's mouth but shook it off, Refreshing itself. I had to think of something or else Archer was a goner. The only thing on his mind was chocolate covered poffins with a strawberry filling, albeit sounded really good right about now.

"Hmmm wait I have an idea!" I said as I dug through my backpack and looked at it's contents. The basic survival gear aside from my park items. I had a feeling if I threw my flashlight at Archer's head, he would wake up pretty angry and Timpeni would most likely have my head for Pokemon cruelty. After a few seconds of digging, I notice the Toxic slowly melting the ice. That forced me to hurry. I zipped open the side pocket and found a small, golden spray bottle. This was the only one I had but it would have to do. But then I remembered that I couldn't use it at the moment.

Soon a large crack was heard and I look down at my feet and watched as the Toxic slowly seeped into the pillar, melting it slightly. It soon began to wobble and crumble down as I feel off, a few feet away from poison lake. I closed my eyes as I felt myself landing on a..surfboard? I opened my eyes and saw myself on a glowing surf board with Sakura maneuvering it wherever he wanted. What would she think of next? I looked up at him and grinned.

"You're so full of it aren't you." I smirked as I stood up a bit, trying to remember how surf since it was a while since I did so.

She helped as we surfed around the Feebas and watched the poison spread around the lake.

"Yeah. I'm gonna have to get Lapras to handle the lakes poison. After this is our battle and since the lake is being damaged, we're accountable."

The both of us smiled as we surfed pasted the Feebas, the toxic water not affecting the pure concentration of aura. We skidded to a stop on the opposite side of the lake and smiled. Time to go surfing!.

"Sakura use an Psybeam volley on the water."

She jumped into the air and fired multiple Aura Spheres into the water below it. HE landed back on the psychicboard as the blasts imploded and shook everything around it, producing a massive wave. We sped off towards the wave and rode all the way to the top of it. It was quite a ways up and we were closing in fast but it was time to end this.

Sakura, Kiryu's Espeon, was one step ahead of Feebas. Now, psychic surfboard- might want to try it one day. Kiryu's weight was easily supported by the cluster of aura, and I watched as they created waves with Psybeam. The ray flew out from Espeon's head gem, and penetrated the water. It seemed normal, but when the beam split to perform a huge blast, a wave was created on the lake. So what were they planning to do?

Feebas rode the waves as well. The toxic has melted away the ice ball, and Feebas decided to kiryu instead of refreeze itself. The Pokemon was quite good at riding the waves. It served as its own surfboard, gripping onto the wave. The toxic still bubbled close by, but the wave swept most of the and scattered it. There was still Toxic, though.

When Torterra succesfully delivered both moves and landed on the palm, I let out a sigh of relief. Maybe she was in the middle of the lake but at least she wasn't directly in the water because she would sink fast with her weight. The palm would surely get underwater soon so this was just a temporary solution. However, considering that Gyarados didn't have a chance to attack yet, the current situation was more than good. The giant water serpent disappeared into the darkness of the lake, covering his plans in a mystery. Feebas, on the other hand, was astonished by the battle and forgot about running away. Or swimming in its case. Torterra let out a cry grinned at it afterwards, as if she was trying to tell it not to worry. I couldn't tell how Feebas took it since I couldn't see it properly but to me the grin looked creepy instead of reassuring. But I didn't hav emuch time to think about the feelings of the fish Pokemon. As long as it was alive and well, I was satisfied and did my best to focus on Gyarados. That water type was somewhere under Torterra and was waiting for the best opportunity to attack. I hoped Torterra was on guard and prepared for something unexpected.

The palm boat had one more function than just making sure Torterra wouldn't drown. It would also lower the damage taken from Gyarados' attack, assuming it would attack from under her. The Pokemon would hit the palm instead of my grass type so it wouldn't hit her directly. This may not seem really useful in case Gyarados would attack with something strong but her defence was good enough to last a few hits from it. Far bigger problem right now was to hit the water type somehow. It was completely underwater and Torterra couldn’t see it. I wasn’t sure what to do. My grass type was obviously nervous out there so I fugred out I should do something that would let her return to the shore.

Feebas was just staring at the Pokemon in front of it on a palm that was confusingly turning her head. It gave her a funny look that told me that if it wasn’t scared it would laugh at her. However, the giant water serpent that was swimming underneath them was more than enough to make everyone serious. When Torterra noticed that look on Feebas’ face, she turned to him adn gave him a weird grin that was intended to look confident but her insecurity was showing too much to make that grin so simple. I knew that she wasn’t just playing around but she wanted to ensure Feebas that everything was okay, even though she herself didn’t believe that. After all, if she fell into the water, she would be too heavy to keep swimming for a long time so she would probably drown. I looked at my psychic type, hooping she would advise me something but her face was blankly staring at Torterra. She also looked kind of pale what was probably caused because she felt Torterra’s emotions. I felt sorry fort both of them but I knew I was the only one who could help them. Only if I managed to come up with a good plan, that would solve many of our trouble at once.

“Torterra, use Earthquake!” I shouted loudly so that my grass type would hear it. This idea looked really crazy to her because she turned to me and cried in surprise.

“Terra?” That reply came back to me, also quite loud.

She wasn’t certain what I wanted to achieve but she believed me nonetheless, so she decided to go along with my plan. I knew she was scared that she would create a srtong wave, that would sweep her but that was exactly what I planned. If she managed to hold on tight, she wouldn’t go underwater and the wave could get her back on the ground safely. Of course she would be a bit taken aback by it but at least she wouldn’t have to worry about drowning much. About Gyarados, there was a high chance it was close to the ground. It wasn’t touching it but there were many hills underwater that would break and the rock could hit Gyarados. It wasn’t a perfect plan and it was based on assumptions but if it worked properly it would do wonders.

Torterra closed her eyes and prepared for the move. Feebas felt something strange, started shaking and jumped underwater to hide from the disastrous effects of the move. Small waves started appearing on the water and the palm Torterra was on started moving. Each time a bigger one hit it, Torterra lost concentration and let out a scared cry. She returned to her senses and decided not to get disturbed by anything just when I called her a coward. I wasn’t really proud of it but it was the only thing I knew would work for sure and it did, besides, I would apologise to her later. The waves were getting bigger and I started feeling a gentle shaking under my feet. After a while we, when the waves got really big and Torterra had to do her best not to fall off the palm, I heard a soft and muted sound of rocks falling. I was certain that the underwater world got hit by the earthquake now and Torterra wouldn’t have to keep using that move for much longer. The waves were also making her come closer to the shore. She had her eyes closed and was holding on the palm as if she was stuck to it. The lake was still getting wilder and Torterra was now soaked because of the waves but she was still trying not to stop the earthquake for a little longer. We still weren’t sure whether Gyarados got hit by the rocks but he certainly was down there somewhere. The sounds of rocks falling were getting louder so I figured out that more mountains were broken by the move.

"Torterra, use Earthquake!” Ashley shouted at her large dinosaur Pokemon. Torterra looked puzzled and as though it didn't want to attack. Instead it shuffled its feet, while muttering "terra" to itself. Torterra seemed to literally shake off her nerves and began to jump up and down in the water, crashing down harder and harder each time. Suddenly, the ground began to shake wildly and the waves rippled throughout the water. The Feebas looked scared and disappeared underwater for a second, before reppearing. Feebas looked really anxious, yet Gyarados was nowhere in sight.

"I don't like this," I said to Ashley, as the water ripples died down and Gyarados still hadn't risen yet. If Gyarados really was underwater, it should have been forced upwards from the force of those powerful tremours. Unless.. "Ashley, watch out!" I shouted as I realised what was happening. Instinctively my Pokeball flashed and a beautiful yellow dog appeared by my side. The sand around Ashley began to shake suddenly and the ground seemed to cave in, like as though a sand vortex was forming. Ashley slipped and slides as she tried to move away from the descending slopes. I could see Gyarados at the bottom of the vortex, grinning maliciously.

Jolteon tore forward, faster than my eyes could follow, grabbed Ashley by the scruff of the neck and dragged her away from the sinking sand hole. She started coughing and Torterra rushed to her side, making sure she was alright. She seemed a tad shocked, but I knew she was fine.

"Jolteon, teach that Gyarados some manners!" I snapped, allowing myself to get pissed off somewhat. Jolteon fired off a wave of blue electricity, it smacked Gyarados headfirst, and caused the beast to hiss. Gyarados slid out of the sand as the vortex stopped. It twitched a little, probably paralysed by Jolteon's attack.

"I don't like this," I heard James saying from behind me. At first I wasn't really sure what he meant by that but when I looked back at the water I realised it. After the disaster finally ended everything returned to its previous state with tiny alternation, of course, excluding the Pokemon. Feebas returned back on surface and Torterra was slowly floating to me, still being stuck to the palm and shaking on her whole body. Otherwise was the lake calm as if nothing had happened. Feebas' look was nearly saddened by the thought that the show time was over and Torterra was more than happy for the same reason. One thing was wrong or rather wasn't there at all. The cause of this all, Gyarados, was nowhere to be seen even though it should have been forced to return to surface by the Earthquake. I didn’t know what was that supposed to mean but I knew that the water serpent plotted something evil. When I wanted to turn to James, to ask about his thoughts on this something sttrange happened.

"Ashley, watch out!" I heard James’ voice and right afterwards I saw a flash and the ground under me started shaking. The flash formed into an ellegant yellow electric Pokemon. It had spiky fur and looked like a mix of a dog and a fox. This was certainly one of the evolutions of Eevee, Jolteon.

The sand felt weird, as if it had gotten softer I didn’t realise the danger I was facing at that moment. I still wasn‘t completely sure what was going on but I decided that it would be the best if I came closer to James. After all, he seemed to know what was going on and he even called his Pokemon out. However, as I tried to do so I slipped after the first step I took. I didn’t know why at first but then I realised that the sand was strangely moving. When I looked behind me I saw a pale and shocked Torterra, trying to row with her paws to swim faster. I felt as if everyone knew what was happenning but me.

My senses told me that running on a moving sand is a bad idea but my brain told me that moving sand is very bad news so I figured out that I should get out of it as fast as possible. However, as I came to this decision, the sand begun moving much faster and I felt as if I was going back not forward. I tried to crawl faster but it was no use. Then I noticed that the sand was going down in a spiral as if there was a sand whirlpool. I was confused and didn’t know what to do. The vortex became bigger and the gap in the sand became bigger. I heard a strange sound as if someone was choking and laughing at the same time. When I looked to the middle of the vortex, where the sound came from, I saw that cunning and evil water serpent. It was certainly enjoying the show it made and it was just waiting for me to fall down. That worked like a kick and made me crwal even faster than before so that it looked that I was getting somewhere but then the vortex became much steeper than before and I felt as if I slipped. I nearly fell into it if it wasn’t for James‘ Jolteon that grabbed my collar in the nick of time and pulled me out.

When I finally got out of that sand hell Torterra, who had just arrived to the shore, rushed to me to make sure I was alright. I couldn’t move or talk, the only thing I could do was breathe because I was stunned by the last events. Who wouldn’t be? Falling right inot the mouth of a creepy Gyarados wasn’t something one would want to win a lottery. Torterra started licking my face hoping to wake me up from my trance. Her colour was slowly returning and she had probably forgotten all of her fear she had on the water. Strange, I was noticing her condition when I barely managed to avoid being served as a snack to a giant snake.

"Jolteon, teach that Gyarados some manners!" James shouted as his golden Pokemon ran towards the sand vortex to face Gyarados. I noticed hints of anger in his voice and his Jolteon was growling. It was no wonder considering that the Gyarados had nearly killed their client.

Jolteon jumped into the air and curled as he got covered in sparks of blue electricity. When he got completely engulfed in the electricity, he stretched and cast several lightnings at Gyarados with a loud cry. The water type got hit because had nowhere to run and even if it did, it wouldn’t manage to do so because Jolteon’s attack was too fast. Gyarados let out a cry as it got hit and it seemed to be in pain. I was glad James did that because that Pokemon certainly deserved it. It looked like it got paralysed because it had trouble to move. I realised that this could be the best opportunity to attack.

“Torterra, Leaf Storm!” I knew this was a risky move but the current conditions would just strengthen it. Those leaves would hit the sides of the vortex and fly at Gyarados and since they had nowhere to leave, this scene would repeat many times so it would be attacked more than once.

The tree on Torterra’s back begun glowing light green because Torterra started collecting energy to it. Soon afterwards the glow became stronger and the tree started gently moving even though I couldn’t feel wind not even a gentle breeze. It was powered by the energy that was stored in it. After a while it begun moving faster and Torterra started growling. Now, she was fully prepared to attack the Pokemon. She stood on her hind legs and with a loud cry fell on her for legs, what made many leaves fall form the tree. Those leaves were also glowing and got frozen in the air as they were falling. Then, they shot at Gyarados and formed into a spiral. Torterra repeated this until she got tired, it’s not so easy to stand on your hind legs when you are heavier than a giant rock. Although I knew that the slower and weaker leaves would be ‘eaten’ by the vortes, I still hoped that the vortex would send thestronger ones at Gyarados, giving them more power and speed like I thought.

BP:

Ashley took a few seconds to recover herself and I felt rather guilty. Perhaps I shouldn't have brought her here, she could have gotten hurt. I knew this particular Gyarados and I knew that despite being easily angered, it wasn't cruel. I wouldn't have ever eaten Ashley, or even hurt her for that matter. It liked to take fun in scaring others. Ashley seemed to recover quicker than I thought. She looked even more determined now; as did Torterra. Feebas had swum a lot closer by this stage; it was just at the more-shallow part of the water.

“Torterra, Leaf Storm!” Ashley commanded her dinosaur. Torterra's body started to glow a bright green colour and she began to vibrate as she chanelled all of her energy into the tree above her body. It began to rustle and in a flash of green, hundreds of sharpened leaves broke free from the branches and tore at the newly-submerged Gyarados. They pierced its skin and she moaned in pain. Torterra slumped to the ground after doing this attack. It clearly drained a lot of her energy, but the Gyarados didn't look as though it felt like attacking.

"Dos," the behemoth grunted, flicking its tail in anger. It gave a mighty roar before disappearing into the clear water. Ashley looked rather nervous so I knew I had to reassure her.

"Don't worry," I said with a smile. "Gyarados won't be coming back anytime soon. But, that little Feebas looks as though it wants to stick around."

Feebas, despite being grateful for the Torterra helping her, had to take advantage of the weakened Torterra. "I should warn you... this Feebas is quite pesky!"

Feebas opened her mouth and shot out some soapy bubbles, the point was to sting the opponents eyes, They floated towards Torterra. Torterra used her sturdy body to take the burden of these attacks; hardly hurting her at all.

"Dos!" Gyarados roared after it got hit by Leaf Storm. Torterra twitched when the huge Pokemon begun hitting invisible enemies with its tail in anger. It certainly didn't like the last move and it wanted us to know it. When it calmed down a little and looked at us, it gave us another roar and jumped back into the lake with a big splash. Its back hit the surface several times until it finally disappeared into one of the rivers that were heading into the sea. We were still watching the last spot where we saw that giant water serpent even though it was long gone. The only thing we could see was a light blue sky with orange shades that was hinting that the sun rose only a few hours ago. Also there were a few splashes and I could have sworn I caught a glimpse of a big fish tail as if the Gyarados was waving us goodbye. After a while James broke the silence.

"Don't worry. Gyarados won't be coming back anytime soon." Then he became quiet for +a while and his sight fell on the small fish Pokemon before he continued. "But, that little Feebas looks as though it wants to stick around." Indeed, he was right. Feebas came quite close to the shore, possibly as close as she could have and her eyes were jumping from me to Torterra +
and back as if she wasn't sure who to look at. The little Pokemon looked really soft, gentle and quite pretty for a Feebas. Her big eyes had a strange shine in them so it looked like the fish Pokemon was about to start crying but then her look changed. She frowned a little but she still had that insecure feel and her eyes were still jumping from me to Torterra and back. I was wondering what could that little thing be thinking about but I was about to find it out and unfortunately it wasn’t anything nice.

"I should warn you... this Feebas is quite pesky!" James stated when he was watching Feebas. At first I didn’t understand what he meant by it because the Feebas seemed quite cute to me and certainly not pesky. But I figured that he knew what he was saying since he had had countless expeditions like this and could recognise the behaviour of Pokemon even though he had never seen them. I still wasn’t fully convinced that he was right but I didn’t want to be too careless. Feebas probably felt that our guard was going rise soon so she decided to attack before I could warn Torterra. Fortunatelly, Torterra had been in many battles and so she felt that something wasn’t alright. She glared at Feebas expecting something mischievous and the tree on her back started subconsciously shaking. I knew that Torterra had an advantage against water moves but if Feebas realised that ice moves do much more damage, it could be bad for her. I knew Feebas were quite weak but I didn’t want to underestimate a Pokemon just because it belonged to a weak kind. If it was clever enough, it could use its attacks so that its power wouldn’t really matter.

That’s why I was quite worried when Feebas opened her mouth, breathed some air in so that it looked like a baloon. Also its eyes looked like they would pop out if it held its breath much longer. However, we didn’t have to worry about that because it openend its mouth again and sent plenty of rainbow coloured bubbles flying at Torterra. She wasn’t worried about it too much, although they made her sneeze a little. When she got annoyed by them, she simply stomped on them before they got to her, breaking them. Feebas didn’t look very happy about that and I had an urge to start laughing but I tried to hide it when Feebas growled in displeasure.

“Be gentle to the Pokemon and use Absorb!” I shouted at my massive grass type that growled in agreement. She closed her eyes and started glowing light red. The glow completely engulfed her but it was partly transparent so she was visible. When Torterra opened her eyes and bright red shine was revealed on them, the same shine slowly appeared on the tree on her back. After a while it became bright enough for her to unleash the energy stored in the tree. Two lightning like beams of energy shot from sides of the tree towards Feebas. Those beans had the same colour as the glow around Torterra’s body. They were supposed to engulf Feebas in the red light just like Torterra was and then move would transfer life energy from the water type Pokemon to the grass type.

BP:

"Be gentle to the Pokemon and use Absorb!" Ashley commanded Torterra. Torterra grunted in agreement and shuffled forwards, just before closing her eyes. Feebas watched the prehistoric dinosaur in wonderment as it started to glow a bright White colour. Gradually all of the colour on her body disappeared and transfromed into the White light, which was getting even brighter. The tree on Torterra's back began to quiver and a White beam shot out the Feebas. It didn't look as though it would do too much damage to the Feebas; merely steal some of the fish's energy. Torterra let her body relax as she began to nourish herself.

"Terra," she sighed happily.

Feebas, on the other hand, was not looking all that happy and started to charge forwards towards the Totterra. She flipped up into the air above the salty seawater and landed back down in the water with a plop, splashing water up. I think this was an attempt to intimidate the Torterra; although it didn't appear to be working. Feebas began to flap her two fins in the salty water, attempting to churn the waves and the biting wind. The wind began to pick up and through Feebas's chanelling it managed to create a small twister.

"Feebas!" the fish cried as the miniature tornado spun forward, crashing into the taken-aback Torterra. But, Torterra didn't look too hurt from it.
