“Death is not a hunter unbeknownst to its prey, one is always aware that it lies in wait. Though life is merely a journey to the grave, it must not be undertaken without hope. Only then will a traveler’s story live on, treasured by those who bid him farewell."

Sharda:
"Okay, see you then " Sharda smiled at him, wondering if he even knew what the lake was all about anyways.

"She seemed a bit peppy. I wonder why though... I guess I'll find out later on in the day,but right now....I have to figure out where I have to go next." Lequan scratched his head.

OOC: @Tye Taylors, not much. We've all just arrived at the Academy, and are following Helena--see below. Just some free time for a quick duel or chatting.
* * *
"Hmm... That appears to be everyone," the blonde woman said, tapping on her tablet one last time before stowing it on her wrist--as a duel disk, Michael marveled--and looking at the assembled crowd. She pressed a button on the side of her visor, deactivating its HUD and revealing sharp grey eyes beneath it. "Hello all. My name is Helena Ashton. I am a current Second Rank student and your advisor this semester. Please, follow me."
Turning sharply on her heel, she headed for the exit at a steady pace. Michael followed eagerly, ready to see Arunafeltz properly.
Helena began speaking as they walked. "As you may or may not be aware, because of the variability in duelists' talents, Arunafeltz Academy does not have a standard, year-based system. Rather than grades, Arunafeltz assigns students into Ranks based on ability. All students enter as Null Rank--untested. Within a few weeks, you will each take your first proficiency exam, and be ranked from Fifth to First Rank according to your performances. Most entering students end up as Fifth or Fourth Rank students, with fewer in Third and almost none in Second. Only the best of the best end up in First Rank their first semester; all those who have have ended up as regional Champions or better."
Finally, the group exited the skyport, into the dazzling Lighthalzen sun. As busy as the skyport had been, Lighthalzen proper was busier. Tourists milled about, looking and pointing at everything in awe. And if it were possible, there were more duelists than tourists; everywhere Michael looked, a duel was going on. Some were simple: two kids kneeling on the ground, a simple dueling mat between them. A few were more climactic: a giant dragon shattered into holographic shards to their left.
Helena gestured aimlessly. "This is the Battle Plaza, the heart of Lighthalzen. I imagine you'll be spending most of your free time here." She faced the group once more. "You are the first group of new students to arrive this year. The second group will be arriving on the late cruiser. As such, we have a few hours to spend. Please, feel free to explore Lighthalzen. However, you must all be back at this location in three hours."
My interest comes and goes... but I will always return.
Leon looked around at the duels happening around him. It was amazing to see so many duelists in one place, and each had a deck of their own they had worked to build.
"I'm coming like a wyvern in heat."
"Three hours. What am I going to do for three hours?... Eh,duel?....I dunno, maybe. I'll just wander around I guess." A dopey smile appeared on Lequan's face before walking off. "Where to?"

Yui looked around. Yep, totally going to spend a lot of time here, he thought. He ran off, beginning to look for someone to duel.

Tye smirked as he looked at all the other Null Rank duelists. I wish there appeared to be more talent in my current class... He said in reference to his standings at home, topping local and even regional tournaments since he was young. "If only there were someone to offer a challenge..." Tye said to himself as he looked down to his black duel disk with solid gold accents.

"Eh....You can smell the arrogance coming from most of these duelists. I'm gonna go find somewhere to chill.wherever that is.." Lequan shrugged.

Sharda:
Sharda followed the group, and went off to see what the lake was like in the early day. "I guess this is where I am going to be battling Lequan later, so might as well get a look at the surroundings early." Sharda said to herself, while wandering around the lake, determining what she was going to do for the three hours.
Claire:
Claire went out, and found herself a person to fight, which happened to be Yui. "Yo, Yui, want to duel?" Claire shouted, as she slammed her hand into his back. "Seems to me that we are both just looking for a dueler."
(Yes Leif, I am going to be beating on you quite often again.)

Yui flinched, then turned around. "Oh hey, Claire," he said, rubbing his back. "Sure, I'd like to duel you." He quickly activated his Duel Disk.

Lequan yawned. "Yeesh...I'm a bit tired.." He decided to sit down, and watch Yui,and Claire duel. "No rest for the wicked...as to quote a certain someone. This should be...fun I guess."

Claire:
"Well then, I'll go first." Claire shuffled her deck, and put into her duel disk. I draw my cards, set a monster, and tw"o facedowns." Claire put the three cards down on her duel disk, and geatured towards Yui, "Your turn."

"All right, then! I draw!" Yui said. "First, I'll use the Spell Card, Heavy Storm!" Heavy winds whipped up, shattering Claire's face downs. "Next, I'll summon Pahunder! With its effect, I'll summon Mahunder!" Two monsters appeared on the field, one green and one red, both with lightning hair. "With these, I'll build the overlay network! Go, Kaichi Kochi Dragon!" A red portal opened up, and Mahunder and Pahunder, turning into yellow energy, went into it. A moment later, a dragon that was apparently made out of a mineral-like substance emerged from the portal. "Now, Kachi Kochi Dragon, attack Claire's face down!" Yui commanded.
