Dragonite, being the one of the fastest flying Pokemon in the world, Takes off at an extreme speed through the fire unaffected directly at Arcanine.

Emily sighed as she watched the battle unfold.

Rushing at a blindingly fast speed it hits the ground with tons of force causing an enormous earthquake as Arcanine lands.

arcanine's heat wave heated up the ground , softening it too much for the earthquake to work. instead all that happened was the creation of a crator

OOC: I'm pretty sure that would hit you before anything could happen. -_-
It would also be super effective.

(OOC: dragonite has to fly up and then come back down with significant force. by comparision, all arcanine has to do is point his mouth at the ground and use heat wave)
