Thread: Pokemon League - Indigo conference *The Start up*

(Trumpet fanfare and noise from a packed stadium) On the 1st level above the battle field sits a rectangular table where several important figures sit. One of them grabs a microphone and stands up. The man in a lab coat begins talking as his voice carries through the speakers all around the stadium, the crowd suddenly becomes silent.

Professor Oak: "Greetings, trainers! I know that we will all be looking forward to some great battles on this bright and sunny day! Sitting beside me is the chief Nurse Joy, along with several of my esteemed colleuges! (Elm, Juniper, Rowan and Ivy nod and wave to the crowd)

Would you like to say a few words? No? Ahh well, maybe next year we will be able to hold this tournament in the Unova region eh, professor Juniper? (Oak chuckles to himself)
The grand prize of this competition is a shiny Mew of course, which I have handed over to Officer Jenny for safe keeping. Alright then without further ado, let the battles begin!"

Emily looked at the match ups and nodded,
"I'll be facing Patrice. BRING IT ON, PATRICE!"

"Ah good... I expected someone stronger..."
Jakku stood imposingly, arms folded.

Ichi wandered over.

Jakku set off, heading for the training area he'd seen when he entered the stadium.

Aaron looked up at the scoreboard. "So I'm fighting Megan Gilham? Doesn't sound too tough!"

"I'm fighting a guy called Kyle. He should better be prepared." Cyril murmured to himself.
OOC: Yes! Finnaly the start ups!

(Talking to his Pokemon): "We're battling Bowie first. Be on guard, focus, and prepare yourself. We mustn't underestimate anyone here."

"Looks like I'm against a guy named Logan first" Jett said to himself

Logan saw who he was facing. He the saw someone say his name and walked over to him. "Are you Jett?"

"I hope Emily is good." Patrice said

"Reese Davies, huh? I hope he's ready, because were not about to lose the first round!" Justin says as he looks up at the bill board.

"Yeah. I am. I can only assume that you are Logan then. Am I correct" Jett asked

"You bet, so I guess we will have to battle then." Logan said.

Reese saw that his match was first up. "it's only natural that i'm first, i'm better than anyone here"

"He's full of himself." Jake rolled his eyes at Jakku.
