"......That coulda been me. Easily."
"But it wasn't. Fate had different plans for you."
"People are still staring at me. They're whispering things." She murmured.
"The usual. How I don't belong here. How I need to go back to my druggie ghetto and leave all the good white folk alone. I just heard somebody say they need to get you away from me before I corrupt you."
She paused, and when she spoke again, her voice was even-quieter. "Someone just called me a devil-child. Said I need to go back to the Distortion-World with Giratina, where I belong."
"Those racist bastards." Calvin grumbled. "And they don't care about me being corrupted. They just don't like seeing people whose skin ain't bleached pale." Minun heard him, and whispered to Chistery and Liax about it.
Maya looked deeply-upset. "Someone just suggested trying to chase me outta town. Or beating me. And they know mosta the cops here wouldn't do anything if they said they hurt me to try to protect you."
"Like hell they would." His tone was deadly, in a protective/comforting way. "No one's gonna lay a finger on you."
Maya smiled, taking his hand. She heard someone approaching behind her, and turned-around. And that's when she got hit in the face with a Slushie.
"Johto bitch!" She heard a woman hiss. But that didn't matter. Someone had added rock-salt to the Slushie, which made it even-more cold. Cold-enough to cause chemical-burns. My collapsed to the ground, hands over her face, screaming so hard that no sounds could be heard.
((Inspired by Glee If you add rock-salt to a Slushie, it would be chemically-altered and cold enough to cause second and third-degree chemical-burns))
"That's it!" Calvin threw down two Poké Balls, one releasing Gardevoir, and the other releasing Dragonite. "Gardevoir, see to it that she is okay. Dragonite, right here." Gardevoir knelt down next to Maya, and Dragonite stood in front of Calvin, who was in front of Maya. Seconds later, Gardevoir and Maya teleported down the block to a relatively safer spot. Listen to me, I need you to move your hand off of the afflicted area so I can heal it. Gardevoir told her in her head.
"Listen lady, I'm only gonna say this once." Calvin said, watching as Minun, assembled Liax and Chistery as well. "You got three seconds to get back in the kitchen and make your husband a sandwich before these Pokémon make mincemeat outta you." He was glaring daggers at her, and Dragonite was towering over her. Minun was sparking like a blown transformer.
Li and Chis looked absolutely nuts.
The woman just smirked. "Brat deserved it. She shouldn't be here."
Li and Chis went absolutely nuts.
Maya was shaking with sobs as she gingerly moved her hands. Her olive tone was almost-completely wrecked by Slushie and awful burns.
Dragonite and Minun blasted her with a Hyper Beam/Thunder combo. Granted, it was restrained so she'd live to experience the full pain and agony. Calvin turned to all of the bystanders. "LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ALL THOSE WHO MESS WITH HER!!!" He shouted loud enough to be heard where Maya was.
Gardevoir winced upon seeing the burns, and immediately set to work healing it. You shouldn't feel any more pain, but there might still be scarring in this spot.
Liax and Chistery loudly voiced their agreement.
Maya was still crying, her whole body heaving.
((Cue Victoria coming-out all confusyfied and trying to mother Maya.))
You're okay now. I've healed it the best i can.Gardevoir said soothingly, teleporting back.
Calvin didn't even hear them teleport back, nor did he hear Victoria come out. "What the hell happened here? Why does she have a scar on her face? Why is there a smoke cloud in my yard?" She exclaimed.
"Long story short, woman from across the street got her with slushie and rock salt. The Pokémon delivered justice. Gardevoir healed her."
"You poor, poor thing!" Victoria cried, hugging Maya. "It's okay, mother's here, let's get you inside." With that, she ushered Calvin and Maya inside before anyone could say 'huh?' The Pokémon all followed, leaving the woman in the smoke cloud.
