John walked into the lobby of the Cynthia Cup tournament. It was a small, pretty place, with several chairs and tables scattered about, and some television systems used to watch the tournament, which were currently blank. A woman with pink hair, who John took to be the local Nurse Joy, beckoned him to her desk. "Are you a competitor or a spectator?" she asked.

"I'm competing," he said with a smile. "These are the 3 Pokémon I'll be using in the first round." He handed her three Poké Balls. Nurse Joy took them and put them in a small machine, which transferred them into a PC in the arena. "Thank you for coming," she said sincerely. "You are welcome to train with your remaining Pokémon or wait in the lobby until the remaining competitors show up."

"I think I'll train some," he said, looking at the Poké Balls he still had in his jacket. Joy pointed to an oak door in the side of the lobby. "That there is a training area." She winked. "You'll be able to train in peace there. Trust me, these tournaments get very loud once the spectators arrive. Just be sure to return before it starts." She handed him something: a ticking clock. "The clock will beep when there are five minutes remaining," she explained. "That should give you enough time to prepare to go live."

John was impressed. "Alright, I'll go train then," he said as he ran into the room. Registration was easy enough, but once the battling started, the real excitement would begin. John clicked the button on one of his Poké Balls, which instantly enlarged into a normal-sized one. "Go, Krookodile!"

OOC: I will be able to post and edit again tonight or later tomorrow. I have a concert to go to right now. Have fun waiting around for me!

Calvin and Camille walked into the lobby, looking around. They registered their first round Pokemon, and sat down in an area where they would be spotted easily.

Ichigo and his scrafty walked into the lobby. They sat down on one of the chairs and smiled. When nurse joy came out of the PC room, he gave her the 3 pokemon that he would not be using for his first round battle. He would be using crobat, gallade, and sceptile. Ichigo and scrafty then sat back down, and Ichigo sighed. "well Scrafty, hopefully this won't be boring." Scrafty nodded and sighed, too.

After a successful Earthquake attack that nearly brought John tumbling down, Krookodile gave in to hunger. John got some Sitrus Berries from his pocket and fed them to the Intimidation Pokémon. Krookodile nodded toward the lobby. "Yeah, let's go back and rest for now," John said, tired from the training as well. "Return." John removed Krookodile's Poké Ball from his jacket pocket and clicked the button. A beam of red light emitted and engulfed his Pokémon, enclosing in within the device. John closed the ball and stowed it away. He then returned to the front lobby.

He was greeted by a fresh sight. The television sets were now fully operational, showing workers preparing the arena for the upcoming Pokémon battles. They obviously seemed excited about watching the event. The first thing that John noticed, however, were the two people sitting on a sofa, one boy and one girl. Another boy with orange hair was giving the Nurse his Pokémon. John smiled. He would be prepared to battle this Trainer. He turned to the twins. "So, are you two going to participate in this tournament, or are you here to watch?" Either way, it will be exciting, he thought. He went over to sit on a velvet chair opposite the others.

OOC: I'm back, but I might be gone for another 10 minutes or so! Also, it's peanut butter and jelly time.

"We're participating. Camille said, turning to look at John. Then she gasped. "You're my first round opponent!"

Ichigo looked at the other two participants and said, "I dont know who i'm fighting in the first round. It's so annoying to not know who i'll be fighting!" ichigo then sighed, and looked at the tv screen and said, "cant wait to see a battle or two."

"I'm looking forward to seeing a battle, too," John said. He turned to them. "I'm John. I can't wait to battle, uh..." John raised his eyebrows, implying that he was asking her name.

"Camille." She replied, stretching in her seat.

"The name's Ichigo." he said in a laid-back tone.

"Hmm?" Camille looked up at Ichigo, not having seen him at all. She could've sworn he was checking her out.

"Well, it's nice to meet you all," John said, slightly relaxing in his chair as well. "Hey... do you guys want to go train in the arena over there? You're allowed to train with the Pokémon you didn't enter."

"Hmm. I suppose." The twins said together.

"I guess. Scrafty's hi jump kick has been a little ofd nowadays." Ichigo then sighed and sank in the comfortable chair.

"Well, come on!" John got up and opened a Poké Ball, revealing his Dragonite. "Camille, I challenge you to a one-on-one, right now!"
