Thread: MLP: Perquisition is Magic (Mission 0)

I sigh. "That's probably a good idea for a shopping list, but for now I guess we'll just have to leave her here and hope she doesn't hold grudges."

((arggg not having any int points and living out in the country means I have no justification for knowing that silver's too malleable to use in combat))

"Well, if we were to find someone from which we could purchase silver from, I could smelt it into a collar for her. I think it's best we drag her along. She might know something."

"I dunno, I'm pretty sure that dragging a pony around with us would slow us down by a lot, and we still don't know exactly how much we'll have to do here. Besides, it sounded like she was just trying to trap and eat anyone who takes this path, I don't think anypony would have told her much of anything, if she didn't do it by herself."

"We could at least put her away so nopony is hurt."

((So, uh, what are you guys actually going to do?))

I sigh, again. "Well, I guess it can't hurt anything, and it would be the nice thing to do."

I just sort of reach over and push the mare-wolf under the plant thingy, then move back over to the road. "I just hope that doesn't make it too easy for her to keep doing what she was doing. Is everypony ready to go?"

The unicorn rubbed his head. "I'm ready." he said. "The only thing that's hurt is my head."

"Oh dear, your head. How awful." Cogs deadpanned under his breath, rubbing the gashes he recieved. "Well, off we go!" He beamed out of the blue.

Seeing as the barrier is impenetrable for all but Lucky, the three ponies return to the base of the hill, where the rotten and decaying orchard stretches out around them. They can explore the orchard, head along the small hoof path through the woods to the back of the hill, or devise a way to get through the barrier.

"Didn't the werewolf say there were other monsters in there?" Cogs pondered.

((wait i thought planthulhu was next to the path, or at least didn't cover it entirely))

"Yeah, I think so. One sec, I'm gonna try and look around to see if there's a way to the mansion that isn't probably a trap." And so I fly directly upwards.

((No, it was a blockade made by the werepony to prevent travelers from reaching the manor))

Lucky flies directly upward, seeing the manor at the tip of the hill. Gray dots among the brownish green orchard alert her to where ruined buildings are, and the landscape becomes more vibrant as the overgrown orchard turns to the surrounding Greenwood Forest. The brown dirt path winds through the orchard, disappearing into the forest for a while, then winds back out to the opposite side of the hill. A tall stone wall means that the path is the only way to the back of the hill. The tangled, green and brown mess that is the tree trunk blockade is visible on the hillside from the air, blocking off any access to the manor.

Kitsune looks up at his teammate. "Wish I could fly like that..." he said.

((Okay, wait, is this a hill or a mesa? And is that wall completely bisecting the entire orchard and vanishing into the forest, or something? And exactly how tall, abouts, is it? And, for that matter, how tall is whatever's preventing us from walking around the barrier?))

"There's probably a way for unicorns to fly. And I..." Cogs stopped, thinking of the mechanic wings he tested so many times before.
