Thread: Gears of the Revolution (Start-up)

"Blind luck. Found Jarvis in the basement of a rented house my family rented during vacation." Seighart said.

Ari sighed, rubbing her temples. "And I take it there's some clause or other that means we can't all just pass on these headaches to someone else, right?" she asked tiredly.

"I don't think we can. That's why you carry headache medicine wherever you go." Seighart said, giving her a bottle of aspirin for her own.

Ari pushed it away. "I'll live." she said, looking up at the sky. "At any rate, it looks like rain. Maybe we should get inside."

"Might as well." Seighart said, walking over and opening the door for her. "For you, signora." Seighart said with a polite bow.

"Y'know, 'signora' is really only for married women." Ari said, passing through the door. "I'd be 'signorina.' But that's neither here nor there. My name is fine."

{Smoooooooooth, sir.} Jarvis droned out. "Oh, shut up." Seighart sighed out, closing the door after her other male friend walked in.

Ari couldn't help but chuckle at the exchange. "It's all right. A lot of people make that mistake." she said over her shoulder. The warmth of the hotel was already putting her in a substantially better mood, and she closed her eyes for a moment in delight. "Wow. This place is posh." she commented when she opened them again.

"Of course. It's the Waldorf Hotel, one of the most poshest place to kick up your feet here in New York City, and one of the oldest." Seighart said.

"Waldorf? Like, the Muppet?" Ari asked, genuinely confused. "I don't come to the States much..."

"Actually, the Muppets Statler and Waldorf are named after real-life hotels here in New York." Seighart said, pointing to the outside and to the floor.

"I figured that much. It was more of a 'the same name as the Muppet' sort of question."

"Yup, you are correct." Seighart said. "You know, that Paladin back there reminded me of Freakazoid." He said, referring to that nutjob earliar.

Ari shook her head. "No way. Freakazoid was sane compared to that jackass." she muttered. "It's like if Jim Carrey had a love child with himself, and that love child was on speed."

Seighart had to chuckle at that. "Speaking of Freakazoid, I think I have that theme song." Seighart said, pulling out his iPod.
