Thread: Avatar Spirit War

I woke as soon as the sun began to rise above the horizon, and inversly the moon set. It always tugged at me like the tide. I dropped from my perch to a lower branch and another until I landed on the ground. I checked my few belongings before I sholdered my pack and began to walk. If I was to do anything I needed to find out more about who this avatar was.

Tai looked up to see the sun rising, Have I been walking the whole night? she asked herself. Even though the lack of a night's sleep slowed her down a bit, determination kept her going to get to Republic City.

As the sun came over the horizon Kyoko walked into the town and found somewhere cheap to eat, even being able to work as a waitress for a day and earn some money.

OOC: Nowhere near big enough to hide an Avatar under.

"Good afternoon, ma'am." Ethan said to Kyoko as he passed by her, entering the cafe. After searching under all the rocks he could find, he decided to take a break and find some food.

"What can I get you?" Kyoko asked Ethan as he sat down. After she had ate she immediately started working to make some money.

"Wha...?" Ethan said, a little surprised that the woman had immediately gotten a job. He quickly recovered.
"Right...I'll just have a slice of apple pie, miss."

"Right away sir." Kyoko walked into the back and gave the chef the order before going around and taking the orders of others as well. Once the pie was ready she took it out to Ethan. "Here you go," she said smiling.

Ethan looked up from the machine he was drawing on a napkin. It was labelled "AVATAR TRACKING DEVICE" and, from the looks of the schematics, used some copper wire, a rat, a small metal box, and three wheels.
"Thank you very much, miss. I heard this cafe was known for it's cute waitresses." He said as he took the pie.

Kyoko blushed at the comment before noticing the drawing. "Av-avatar tracking machine? That sounds interesting? Wh-why are you looking for the av-avatar?" she asked nervously.

"It's a long story. Why? Got any spare Avatars I can borrow?" Ethan smirked, putting a forkful of pie into his mouth.

Taifeng pulled out a map from her satchel, unsure of where exactly she was. She stared at the paper dumbfounded, Why did I even bring a map if I can't read it? she asked herself. She wandered around a bit more to hopefully find a town that would give her directions.

Kyoko gave a nervous laugh. "L-let me kn-know if you need anything e-else," she stuttered before walking away.

"Maybe a glass of milk?" Ethan asked, as he continued drawing on the napkin, adding some flames to the machine.

Kyoko nodded her head before walking away again and grabbing a glass of milk which she then brought out to him. "Anything else?"

"Thanks...It's the war." Ethan said to her, taking a sip from the glass.
