Thread: The Aura Tourney (Start Up)

"Oh, boy. I hear something." Camille said, hr nosy side getting the better of her. She peeked around a large box and saw two guys, one of swhich looked like he was gonna shove his foot so far down the other guy's throat, it would come out of his backside. Calvin caught up with her, and glared at her. "Will you stop being nosy?!" He hissed. "Look!"! Camille whispered. He saw the scene, and gulped. "This is not going to end well..."

Sam smiled slyly, reaching down toward his belt. He unhooked one of the six Pokeballs there, holding its compressed space in one clenched fist. With his other hand, he took a swig of wine.

"Sorry, buddy, but I don't have to try," he said. "Ya look enough of an idiot already!"

Jakku sat against the chimney of the boat, idly flicking the strings of his Bass guitar.
OOC: No-one said the boat didn't have chimneys! I've said it, so now it is canon!
He glanced up as the map dropped into his lap.
"...Stranger things have fallen from the sky to land on my lap..."
He mused, and looked through it boredly. He'd noticed the fight, but wasn't greatly motivated to help.

"Drago-Drago. (Can we stop now)" complained Dragonite.

"Fine we can land." said Logan hoping he wouldn't get seasick. Logan preferred more solid places, he could handle earthquakes, but boats were one step too far. They landed on the deck between the large crowd of people. He released Umbreon to roam the boat. Logan saw a quilava fighting a pokemon he didn't recognize. 'This competition is gonna be harder than I thought. That dudes gonna beat me easily.' thought Logan.

"Oh, Green World..."
Jakku put down his bass and took a swig of rum.
"Don't desert me now..."
He said, half ponderously, mainly to himself.
He released his Slowking, Ichi.
(Oh hey, drunkard.)
"C'mon, two rums is not being drunk..."

"Really," Zaar said. He then reached into his coat, and pulled out what appeared to be a knife. He twirled it a bit in his hand, examining the blade closely. "Skinning you alive is starting to become a fairly appealing option, among other potential choices. You do not want to be my enemy. My enemies don't tend to be fully functional for very long."

Aaron looked up, startled, as a package fell into his lap. "YAY! I LOVE PRESENTS!" He yelled, tearing into it. When he saw the gauntlet, his eyes opened wide. "Finally..." he whispered. "I have one of my own. IT"S SO FUCKING SHIIIIIIIIIIINNY!" he yelled.

OOC: Sorry guys, got a IRL thing I got to go to from now till late Sunday/early Monday, so if my match could be later rather than earlier, I'd really appreciate it!

'Oh. Good. The Boat has finally arrived. Let's go, Lilligant.' Lilly said, and her Lilligant obidiently followed her to move off of the Boat. She was right not to talk to anyone...they looked a bit weird. One of them looked a bit drunk...and had quite the vile Pokemon.

'Well, they should be easily beatable.' She thought to herself, smiling. She counted her Pokeballs. Six. Good.
One last check of the Map, just to make SURE that there wasn't a designer label shop...alas, no, there wasn't.

She marched up to Hayley, for she knew he was the leader.
'I trust my luggage arrived safely. Because if all 14 suitcases haven't arrived, I don't know how I'm going to make it through this tourney. They include all my outfits and my darlings acsessories, you know,' Lilly announced, as she held her hand out to Lilligant for the glasses, before folding them up, and giving her a Miracle seed instead.

Jakku wandered down from the roof, onto the main deck.
He may've been drunk, but he noticed the disdainful looks from Lilly.
He bowed boredly at her, more as a formality than anything else, Ichi nodded, and he wandered off.

"Dragonite fly us to the docks," ordered Logan. He didn't want to walk through the crowd.

"Nite!" replied Dragonite.

Umbreon and Logan hopped onto Dragonite and flew towards the docks, where Lucas would be waiting for them. He couldn't wait to traverse the mountains where he would battle challengers.

Lucas Sovner stood in front of the port and, as the trainers and Terrain Masters as they exited the boat. He then said "Trainers, and Terrain Masters, welcome to the Aura Tourney. For the next month, and possibly longer, you will be competing here on this island. This island itself was created long ago by the fabled Weather Trio: Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, and it is truly unlike any other. This island, as you already may have guessed from the maps, contains all the major types of the terrain from the world. You also should have a Poke Gauntlet, which is necessary for the tourney. Your gauntlets monitor and record all battles and their results. Each win against a Trainer is worth 1 point, and a win against a Terrain Master is worth 5.Terrain Masters will recieve one point per Trainer they defeat. Tampering with your gauntlet will win you an immediate disqualification, and you may remove them at the Pokemon Center in the city at the center of this island. There, they will recieve a signal that will allow you to take them off easily.

Each day is to do with as you please. I may notice trainers who have done exceptionally well, and allow them to have a battle against a Terrain Master on a set day. Otherwise, you are free to do whatever you want.

You may be challenged at any moment that you are outside of the city to battle. The city itself is a Neutral Ground and no official battles may be fought there. However, you are free to battle other trainers for practice in un-official matches in the city's Training Dome , as well as against the Staff Pokemon working there.The Staff Pokemon are ones who perform tasks all around the island during the tourney, such as the Delibird who gave you all a package.They will never attack you, so do not fear them. You may swap out pokemon from your team with the ones you reserved by using the Pokemon Center's PC, and you can also relax at the Park and allow your pokemon to play with younger and infant ones from the nursery, or visit the Island Museum. Today, you all embark on a challenge that may be difficult at times, but I encourage all of you to do your best. Let the tourney begin!"

"Lucas you forgot to mention something. Where will we be staying?" pointed out Logan. He needed to rest, all that time flying on Dragonite had tired him out.

"Umbreon-bre (I hope that its comfortable.)" added Umbreon.

Logan went over the map one more time awaiting Lucas's answer.

Zaar gave a chuckle. The instant they step outside of the city, eh? This would be interesting, to say the least. But he had to be prepared. Know the lay of the land. And set up a few...surprises for anyone who showed up. He immediately ran off, Iluzja running after him, still in a human shape.

Santos raised an eyebrow at Zaar's hasty departure, but disregarded it. He decided to go to the city, and see what it had. He was still carrying Fiesta, and also decided to release Bella, his Lilligant. He walked towards the city. His first stop would probably be the Museum. Odds are that place had some interesting things to look at.

"FREEDOM!" Camille shouted, running off the ship, knocking aside a few people on the way.

"Camille! Get back here right now!" Calvin shouted after her, Espeon and Umbreon at his heels. Calvin politely ran through the crowd, while Espeon and Umbreon ran on the railings, and jumped off after Camille.

Lucas said "Fair point. The boys dorms and the girls dorms are in the northwestern corner of the city, east from the Museum, Park, and Nursery. The Tourney Staff Dorms are on the eastern wall of the city, next to the Tourney Hall, the main gathering place for competitors. Today you may have unofficial battles, but tomorrow the real ones begin."

He then leapt onto Sky and returned Shooter before the Salamance took off, flying towards the city.

Haley had returned Lauren but decided to let Guard stay out. She wanted to have a practice battle in the Practice Dome Lucas mentioned, but she wanted to battle another trainer. She then began to look among the trainers and Terrain Masters, searching for a good opponent.
