Thread: Looking to join an RP

Hi.
I'm looking for a fantasy genre RP.
Like, you know, fighting monsters, casting magic, adventure.
But I don't see any RP like that..
And, I can't create one, because:
I'm not a good RP-ers
My grammar is bad.
I don't know how to set up a plot.

Can someone help me and create one for me?
I know there are a lot of genius RP maker here... So yeah.

(for example: pokemon, final fantasy, dragon quest, star wars, zelda.. you get the idea)

I can also assist you, if need be.

If you're looking for some kind of resume, I have an uncanny habit of being able to come up with medieval-sounding names on the fly, the ability to create unique villains and plots, coming up with creatures that populate the region where the RP takes place, and the ability to make maps for said region.

@samwin: maybe final fantasy or etrian odyssey... Or MAR.

Forgot to mention: I have an extremely bad habit of losing commitment on a frequent basis when it comes to my own RPs. They're good ones. I just lose interest and/or get caught up in real-life issues. Every one of them has died out so far.

Oh yeah.... Can you make the character name, like,...
Heimdall.. Wulfric.. Ulfgar.. Or beowulf?
And the setting is uh...

You should try to be original, put your own spin on stuff too. Like, instead of Tolkienesque monsters, like orcs and elves, you should use Oni and Yuki-Ona. Also, it'd be cool to have magic users be like in Soul Eater, where they have to have a theme, like pumpkins or cats. Oh, and I have some places I thought of that might be cool.

The Scrapyard: A town that sprung up from the remains of an old settlement of Djinn (More on these later) that were run out by Tsuchigumo (Half-Man, half spider monsters.) A battalion of witches, who were just starting to organize, cleared out the monsters, then set up a town there, which expanded into a sort of headquarters for magic-users as a whole, with an academy for mages at the foot of the giant metal tree which houses the Coven, the governing body among magic-users. There's a fairly large town around the tree, also made of metal, which houses a fairly even mix of warlocks and normal people.

Also, there should be a nomadic people called the Djinn, who know how to use technology. They used to all live in one area, but one of them ran an experiment that resulted in the creation of Tsuchigumo, and now they follow herds of giant crab monsters.

so heres a thought.

I once got the idea for an elemental based sport/competition. and trust me its all fun and games until four new teams arrive: dusk, fade, lycan , Apocalypse. these teams aren't any normal players. they're all malevolent beings: shades, vamprics (assorted types of vampires), were-beasts, and demons. now the players are battling for more then the Diamond cup. to combat the four new teams the eight original have merged into four of their own.

the old teams: ice, fire, earth, water, wind, electricty, light, darkness.

new teams: glacier (ice water), Vulcano (fire earth), Tempest (electricity wind), ecplipse (light darkness).

can you make it through?

of course it sounds serious, but you can do whatever you want with it because you decide how to play.

also the game is a ctf with eliminations, so you'll be battling it out for first place.

Just stay away from ideas that are used a lot, it's pretty easy. You can always mine mythology, Tolkien did it, it's a great place to start: http://www.pantheon.org/
Nowadays, with the Percy Jackson series' popularity, Greek mythology is a tad overdone, but all the others would be great sources. It may seem counterintuitive, ripping off of old religions for the sake of originality, but as long as you add your own twists, it'd probably be pretty cool.

My idea so far:
In outer space... Far, far away from our galaxy, There's a group of robots that called themselves pseudroid. They are in a war since thousand millenia with the race of elf.

The elf teleported to earth using a high tech plane, and found by a 19 years old human,
The robot chased the elf to the earth....
The human trapped between the war between the two,
And to protect earth, the human decided to wage a war to the two race.

So basically, the RP is about
Human vs robot vs elf.

The human can use a high tech weapon, and is good at creating weapon and fortress.
The robot can use a super deadly weapon like lazor, huge axe, laser sword, lightsaber... Etc etc.
The elf can use a super magic and summon a wonderful creature from the spirit world.



And yes, I need a skilled roleplayer to add some detail to the plot.

Why are they at war? Why are humans better at building fortresses than elves and robots? Why aren't robots good with technology? Also, lots of people hate elves. I know I do. Except girl elves, they're hot.
