Thread: Journey RPG- Any Ideas?

Well, I've been on the Forums a while and I was wondering if there was any other committed member (someone who posts more than once a day) who would be interested in maybe Co-GM'ing a Journey RP with me? Any ideas, or takers?

Yea, me too. Its just that the vast majority always seem to never make it past the first city. I'm on at least everyday and I'm looking for other members who are just as comitted. I'm really kind of open to anything, I just want it to be successful. Any ideas, region/plot?

I'm usually on everyday, though I do have classes from 8-5 on Tuesdays/Thursdays. Very few I've been in have made it to the first city actually(only 2 have so far and fortunatley one is still alive though VERY slow). Well as for region...We're about to start a Kanto one, I'm doing a VERY slow Johto one, I've never done Hoenn, I've actually did a full Sinnoh one(from start to league and it went for like 1500 pages.), and I'm doing a slow Unova one.

Yeah, I think keeping it successful relies largely on who the members are, and how active they are. Would you be interested in helping me GM a Hoenn journey? We'll see how this Kanto one goes and then we can decide if we want to go forward with it or not.

I'd love to do a Hoenn RP since I've never done one. And I'm somewhat hopeful the Kanto one will work out.

Alright, cool, do you think it should just be a standard journey RP? Any villanous teams or just going around the region; gyms/contests?

I think having villains would be great for the RP if you have any ideas for them. In Hoenn we know there's Team Aqua and Team Magma, also Gen III had Team Snagem and Cipher(and Miror B)

Yeah we could do something similar to the games, like in Emerald where both villanous teams have their own "evil intentions" I also think that we should have the RP'ers just be trainers or coordinators, cause Ive seen some where you can sign up to be a grunt or something in one of the teams, but that never seems to work out well.

Yeah trainers and coordinators only and you'd be able to control most villain related stuff would you?

I think I might, I'll probably need some help though. I don't know if it should be the same plot as from the games or maybe a similar yet different one.

Yeah, although I'm not very creative haha. Possibly try combining the two teams or just creating a new one. Depends on what their intentions are, and how they opperate.
