Thread: ~Checkmate~Yu-Gi-Oh! GX(Rio and Ryoga Kamishiro)

Asuka suspiciously stared as Sho ran off with Edo, and ran along trying to catch up to them. Ryo merely shrugged and didn't bother going any faster.

"Edo! And Sho!' Judai called out, not expecting to see the two come over. "Also Asuka?" Judai finished, seeing Asuka also come running over lastly.

Not noticing Edo's look of disgust, Judai kept staring at Manjoume. He didn't want to believe he did it... But what else could he believe?

"What? I... I wasn't there with you all, but I didn't kill Kenzan!" Manjoume retaliated, unsure what to say.

"Manjoume... The evidence is against you though. We uh.... Might have to lock you up, to prove you aren't the killer. That's the only way we can be sure." Judai awkwardly said to Manjoume.

Manjoume's jaw dropped, appalled by the situation. How could he have known looking for evidence would cause this!? "Wow, you guys are horrible 'friends'. God, I try to get something done and shit goes against me."

Judai uncomfortably looked down, not knowing what to say. Asuka walked up luckily for him. "...Well, we should take him to Professor Chronos to lock him up." She said avoiding eye contact from everyone.

Seeing the situation, Edo spoke up. "No... the killer could have fled long before... this doesn't automatically make Manjoume the killer--" Suddenly he was interrupted by Chronos who was coincidentally walking by. "I heard everything. It would appear you Osiris slackers can be useful at times. I'll be taking him with us, he'll be locked up for a while." With that, two men in black grabbed Manjoume and ushered him away along with Chronos.

Silence came and no one seemed to know what to say. Sho, though, had a gleeful smirk on his face. That was one way to get rid of another person. Thankfully, no one seemed to notice this smile.

"You're all idiots." Edo said with a disgusted look. "Shouldn't someone bury him or something? This is sick."

No one wanted to bury him, but Johan shrugged and took up the job. He buried a hole and dragged his body in it. "There ya are... rest in peace."

Meanwhile, Sho walked over to Judai. "Aniki... do you think the murders will stop now?"

Ryo walked over just in time to hear Edo somewhat, and wondered if maybe he was right...? Still, didn't matter since Chronos just came.

Hearing Edo's uncalled for comment, Asuka glared at him again. "Hmph, we were only in a hurry to--" Before she could continue, Judai put his arm in front of her to stop her from speaking.

Judai then turned his attention to Sho. "I dunno, but hopefully. Would suck to think it was Manjoume who did it though... But at least the murders would stop."

Fubuki walked over along with Ryo and Fujiwara. Seeing Manjoume being whisked away, his eyes widened. "Wait... why is he being pulled away?" Calling out to anyone listening, Fubuki looked more distraught than anyone else. Fubuki was seen as a 'senpai' to Manjoume... he didn't like to see his 'student' being accused like that. "What did he do!?"

Sho, though, was smiling. His precious aniki finally spoke to him and him alone. And they didn't suspect a thing...

Edo was deep in thought over the situation. The murder looked a bit like how his father was killed... could this murdered be the same one? Impossible, but... he couldn't help but think that.

Seeing Fubuki obviously not at all pleased by Manjoume being taken away, Asuka put her hand on his shoulder. "Calm down, onii-chan. He was near Kenzan's body and with the knife that... Stabbed him. So he's being taken away as being suspected as the killer."

Ryo noticed how Edo seemed to be thinking hard about something, but ignored it and began to walk away. "Well, I'm leaving. No point sticking around." Fujiwara then grabbed Fubuki's hand, after Ryo began to walk. "We should probably be leaving too, right Fubuki?"

"Oh, if you guy are leaving then, uh... See ya later I guess?" Judai waved slightly.

"But...!" Fubuki saw that there was slight evidence from this, but he didn't want to believe it. All he could do now though was see if the murders would stop. Holding Fujiwara's hand now, a smile didn't appear on his face like it usually did... he was too distraught now. "See you guys, later." With that, they walked away.

Edo walked over to Judai and whispered in his ear. "How simple. What makes you guys think there is only one killer?" Suggesting that there could be more than one perpetrator, Edo wanted to see if Judai would believe this or not. After all, it wasn't impossible.

Asuka sighed as Fujiwara and Fubuki walked off. She felt bad, but this could be the stop to the murders, and they couldn't risk not doing it.

"Huh...? More than one?" Judai looked purely surprised by what Edo said, and then stared directly at him. "...What makes you think that? I mean, I know it isn't impossible, but... Still seems a bit unlikely, don'tcha think?"

"As unlikely as finding Manjoume hovering over Kenzan's dead body with a knife?" He said, a snide smile on his face. "Not everything is black and white, Judai. There's a grey area." Getting the gun from his pocket, he put it up to Judai's head. "And don't trust me completely either. Just do like me, okay? I don't trust a single one of you." Putting the gun down, Edo began walking in the direction Ryo went and out of sight.

"Aniki! What was that about!? Are you okay!?" Sho hurriedly ran over, worried about Judai.

What Edo was saying was true, but... "Grey... Area? I-I know that." Judai said whilst looking away from Edo. He quickly glanced back though, as Edo pointed the gun at him, making him gulp as he listened to Edo's words. Not trusting a single one of us...? Finally he put the gun away and began to walk off, Judai intently staring still, as he did. "...Edo..."

Flinching as Sho called out to him, Judai quickly put on a fake smile. "Sho. Yeah, I'm just fine! That Edo, I can never tell what he's thinking." He laughed a little at the end.

After saying that though, Judai started to think harder about what Edo told him. I can't trust a single person here...? Not even my friends? He continued thinking while glancing over at the others, But we have to work together to find the killer. Although one of them could be...? Judai shook his head, "Uh, so what should we do now?"

"Sure, Aniki?" Sho was still worried, but just as he was busy doing so, Johan walked over to Judai. "You don't look fine, buddy. But if you say so." He smiled at the brunette, hoping to make him feel better. And Sho's jealousy meter was about to hit its peak. If only I could dispose of him sooner... he thought.

Thinking a little, Johan spoke up. "The murders. How often did they happen? Two murders the first day and one today. You don't think there will be another, do ya?" He asked, not expecting a definite answer. "But then, Manjoume was locked up so if he was the murderer..."

"Really, Sho, I'm fine." Judai said while scratching the back of his head and then smiled at Johan, "Yeah, don't worry." He added, oddly calm sounding. Not trusting anyone... but that would mean I can't trust Johan either?

"You have a point, maybe there's a certain number of murders each day they do? But yeah, Manjoume is taken into custody now, so we'll just have to see if he was the one." Asuka chimed in.

Judai didn't say a word and kept looking downward. Suddenly, though, a thought occurred to him. Wait... Edo said something about maybe there being two murderers? Looking up at the others, he began to speak, "Hey, guys... Is there any way of finding out when each murder occurred?"

He turned to Johan again... Sho thought, jealousy crowding his simple mind. "If you're sure." Johan smiled back, trying to keep the atmosphere pleasant even though that was seemingly impossible.

Hearing Asuka agree, Johan was glad he finally thought up something competent. Maybe he could be more useful then if he tried. Judai's question made everyone stop. Sho gave another glare at everyone to see if anyone knew the times... thank god no one realized I wasn't with them the time they went to see Chronos.

"Times, times... let's see, when we went to go see Chronos it was about eleven. I dunno about the other day, though. Why?" Johan curiously asked.

Judai struggled to find a reason on why he asked. He wasn't sure if he should bring up that Edo thought that maybe there's more than one murderer, which made it difficult. "Ah, nothing! I was just thinking if the times for each murder were close, it would be impossible for it to only be one murderer, but silly idea, huh?"

Quickly after saying that, Judai turned away. "So, uh... What now?"

"Hm, it's getting sort of late, so I might go back to the dorms now." Asuka replied, looking up. "How about you guys?"

"Nah, it's not silly. At least you're trying to think of any clues. But unforunately for us... we have no way of knowing that." Johan thought Judai was acting a tad strange, but he didn't want to bug him about it.

"I agree. We should just rest for now and think tomorrow." Sho added, glancing over at Asuka. Suddenly a note came flying down and right onto Asuka.

"Asuka? What's that on ya?" Johan asked, not knowing where the note came from.

Judai looked surprise from Johan's response and then smiled slightly. "Yeah, we don't..."

"Huh?" Asuka looked around and then grabbed the note. "A note? I'm having a hard time reading it, here." She handed it over to Johan.
