Thread: ~Checkmate~Yu-Gi-Oh! GX(Rio and Ryoga Kamishiro)

Asuka blinked, clearly confused. She soon got what Edo was getting at though and nodded. "...Sure, but make it quick. I don't want to leave Fubuki's side too long." She hastily got up and went outside the door, and Ryo was puzzled, but he didn't care enough to ask what was up. He could tell this wasn't about a "test" though.

Walking out, Edo looked around. "Looks like you actually understood what I was getting at."

Thinking about the situation, Edo continued. "If Fubuki was shot... and lived, wouldn't he be able to tell us who the killer is? Unless he somehow forgot, which is literally impossible."

"Of course I did." She retorted, feeling somewhat insulted.

What Edo was saying was true, and it would be somewhat odd if he forgot, but what if something like the Darkness incident happened and he would forget? But no, instead of speculating more, Asuka glared at Edo. "I get you're just trying to find more evidence, but onii-chan would be in no condition to even speak of remembering the killer or anything related to that!" She tried her best to keep quiet, but this just infuriated her, which wasn't an easy thing to do.

Edo was expecting Asuka to get defensive of her brother, but it wasn't as if he was trying to be mean. He was just thinking logically, emotions didn't appeal to him right now.

"Defensive, defensive... you're lucky you're the only one I trust at the moment. Well, you and Fubuki both. Unless he shot himself to clear himself, which would be insane." He bluntly said, still coming across as arrogant even though he still meant no ill-intent. "The gun... did Johan and Judai go to retrieve it?"

Asuka took a deep breathe and slumped against the wall. "Sorry, I guess I did get a bit.. Defensive." She didn't like the way Edo was talking about her brother that way, but saying anything about it would do no good. "Uh-huh, they went to go get it. They haven't come back yet though..."

"Is that right..." He said back, putting one hand on his hip. "Maybe they've come back by now. Let's go check." Edo began to walk off near the infirmary now, hoping Judai would come back with evidence.

Johan busted into the infirmary and looked around. "The gun wasn't there!"

"...Yeah." Asuka nodded and walked quite quickly back to the infirmary. The wait wasn't long, as Johan slammed the door open. "What...?"

Judai ran in right behind Johan. "Yeah, like Johan said, it's gone...! The murderer must have slipped in just in time to go back and take it."

Ryo finally pulled away from the wall and had a stern look. "...Okay then. The person who's done this must be a student or teacher of some sort from here, seeing as they could sneak in the blue dorm. That isn't easy. What if we tell Professor Chronos for him and us to look through every student's things, clothes, furniture, anything."

Oh dammit. Hearing the suggestion of looking through the student's personal belongings... Sho would have to hide his things. "Sure, but uh... I need to go to the bathroom first!" Sho quickly ran out and went to his dorm, gathering all his weapons and Judai pictures.

Johan shrugged. "Sure, I got no issue with that. Who should look through the stuff, though? I mean... would Chronos be up to that?" Realizing they had no other options of others to look, Johan looked at Judai really quick and smiled. "Alright, I'll go get him. You all can stay here!" With that, Johan left the room.

And then... Fubuki actually opened his eyes slightly. "Mmm..." He moaned, not sure of what had happened. "Ryo..? Asuka..?"

"Johan...!" Judai reached out to Johan but he had already run off. "...I hope he'll be okay." He said

As soon as Asuka heard Fubuki, her eyes lit up. "Onii-chan!! Are you okay!?" She asked that, but she knew full well he couldn't be, being shot like that. Ryo walked over and crossed his arms. "Fubuki, how are you feeling?"

Squinting, he could barely see his sister's face or Ryo's... Suddenly, a thought came in his head. Someone wants to kill her...? "Asuka, are you alright..?!" He shouted out, not sure what exactly was going to hurt her. For some reason he couldn't recall anything that had happened. "And... why am I here..?"

"Huh...?" Asuka stared at her brother, purely confused. "Am I alright? What about you!?"

Soon after Asuka asked that, Ryo got in front of her. "Fubuki, you were shot near the heart. You... Don't remember that?" The first thought that came to his mind was that Fubuki lost his memory of then...? That would be bad, then he wouldn't be able to tell them who the murderer is...

"I mean..!" ... What do I mean? Each time he tried to remember what had happened, his head began to hurt. This was all in part to him hitting his head extremely hard as Sho shot him... not that Ryo or Asuka were aware of this.

Hearing that he was shot near the heart explained why he was hooked up to machines and all the I-V's in his arms and chest. "Oh god, what? That explains this pain then." He made light of it, but he was really hurting. "I don't remember any of it... how did I get shot?"

Asuka was glad Fubuki's physical injuries seemed to be doing just fine, but she just got even more worried about him. Why did he ask that? Why can't he remember...?

"Fubuki, you really can't remember!? We have no idea how you got shot, you tell us." Ryo said, sounding somewhat annoyed. Asuka shoved him away and glared at him. "Ryo, cut that out!! If he can't remember, then he can't!"

"Calm down, guys..." Judai awkwardly intervened. He then turned his attention to Fubuki, "Hey, you don't even remember anything before getting shot...?"

Fubuki honestly tried his best to recall the events before he was shot... but all he could remember was going in his room and sitting on the bed. He thought he faintly remembered someone with him, but he couldn't remember who.

Hearing Ryo getting annoyed, Fubuki merely just gave a serious look to him. He felt a bit bad that Asuka had to get so defensive over him, but there was nothing he could do. It wasn't as if he could get up and stop their arguing. With Judai's calmness evident, Fubuki closed his eyes. "I was... in my dorm room. I walked inside... sat on the bed, and... nngh..." Trying to remember anymore hurt. That was the extent of it.

Suddenly, Johan and Chronos came in. "Hey, Judai! I brought 'im!" Chronos walked in to first see Fubuki. "Oh my... and one of our best duelists even got hurt in this... alright, take me to the rooms!" Chronos walked out and Johan went with him. "We're going to go check the rooms, okay?"

He seems to be really struggling to remember... Judai couldn't help but think, and then gulped, knowing he wouldn't be able to remember. "Don't push it trying to remember, okay?"

Looking over in surprise as Chronos and Johan came in, Judai nodded. "Uh, sure! Need me or anyone else to come too?"
