While he was still dizzy, Annie threw a kick at him, but he caught it. Then he grabbed her by her braid, swung her around, and tossed her like a ragdoll. She landed on her feet, but was clutching her hair in pain.

Did he just do that? Please tell me he didn't do that.

Maya seemed to have lost the ability to think rationally, her mind a jumble of intense, wordless fury.

((Never, ever touch a child when their mother's in the room.))

Umm... Maya? Calvin nervously thought. Uh oh...

Annie glared at Ivan, and shot forward at him, knocking him over with a flying kick. He got up, and grinned before firing a energy blast at her. She barely dodged, but the ends of her hair were singed. Uh oh...

Maya was shaking slightly in her fury.

Maya! Calvin shouted. Snap out of it!

Annie growled at Ivan, and put her hands together above her head. "Twilight Breaker!" She shouted, forming a ball of white energy.

What the-

That startled Maya back to rationality.

The ball grew for a moment until it flashed brightly. Ivan looked like he'd just shat bricks at the sight of this, as well as everyone else in the crowd. "HAAA!!!" She fired a large beam at Ivan, which engulfed him. She aimed it skyward to avoid blowing the place sky high. Ivan fell from the sky a few seconds later, landing outside the ring.

"And it's over! The winner by ring out and the new Junior Champion, Annie- what the-?" The referee was cut off when Ivan jumped at an exhausted Annie, and was about to strangle her, but he paused and began writhing in pain.

Maya's eyes were locked on him, and she seemed to be concentrating.

Calvin saw Maya focusing, and gulped. Don't light him on fire.

"As I was saying, Annie is our new Junior Division champion!" The referee said as some attendants took Ivan away. The entire crowd roared with applause.

You ruin all my fun. Maya pretended to pout.

Hey Mommy, Daddy, I won! Annie cheered. And I'm exhausted.

Maya picked her up and kissed her forehead. How's 'bout you take a nap when we get home, then, huh?

I wanna take a nap now. Annie replied, sound her age. With that, she did what she said she would do.

"Camille, if you would." Calvin said. On cue, they were teleported home.

Maya took Annie up to her room and put her to bed.
