"Is that so..." Enia said, having no idea what to say and deciding it was best not to say anything. She smiled instead, keeping her eyes on his.

Tanaka smiled back not breaking contact. He was unsure what he should do and tried to think of what Kaori had told him. He remembered that many creatures performed something before a mating ritual known as a date to see if they were compatible. It would be bad if Tanaka provided no offspring for the next generation, and being that Enia did not frighten him, it might be best to try with her. "Enia," he said her name softly. "Do you want to go on a date with me?" he asked the faerie whose eyes were locked with his.

Enia stared at Tanaka with a blank expression, with just a soft flush of red on her cheeks. She nodded.

Tanaka smiled relieved that she accepted. He wasn't sure why but he felt very elated at the thought. Now he just needed to ask Kaori what a couple does on a date.

(I'm thinking Animals or Bad Touch as Kaoris theme, but they don't really express his sensitive side...)

A couple minutes passed with silence, with Enia having no idea what to say(she just wasn't social). However, she did recall something Tanaka said, and smirked. "Fear of women?"

"In the harpy race the moment us males are born we are forced into the slavery of the females. It's quite frightening. The only reason I was freed was due to be much smarter than most of the other males. Females can be so cruel to males," he stated bluntly then realized how he ended it. "Not all of course, mainly harpies and even some other species," he quickly covered hoping he didn't upset her.

Enia nodded, taking no offense to Tanaka's words whatsoever. Although she was cold, she was also understanding(to a certain degree), so she took in the words that were said, but never questioned them. She looked at the plants once more, not knowing what to do at this point.

"Sorry if I just made things awkward. It was never my intention to do so," he said blushing slightly. He felt like an idiot at the moment.

Enia turned to Tanaka and smiled one of her rare smiles. "You did nothing wrong." On the contrary, she was the awkward one.

Tanaka smiled stepping closer to Enia. "Good. I don't ever want things to be awkward between us," he stated as he could feel what he knew to be his instincts taking over.

Enia's smile turned into a smirk. Same. She said nothing and stepped closer towards Tanaka. She wasn't sure what she was doing, but decided to go with her instincts and wrapped her arms around his neck, brushing her lips softly against his, before pulling back.

As Enia wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a light kiss, Tanaka wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her to him before capturing her lips in his.

Enia closed her eyes and tilted her face a little, as Tanaka was taller than her. She could feel her heartbeat skipping faster from the thrill and the unfamiliarity of such intimacy.

A cough could be heard from inside the greenhouse with the two. Tanaka reluctantly broke off the hiss annoyed at the interruption. He glared over towards the sound before snapping out of what was his instincts acting up. He blushed a deep red as he realized the situation. Letting go of Enia he backed away from her embarrassed to have let his instincts that he thought he had learned to control, take over.

"I like to come in and look at the plants when no one is in here. Very peaceful and quiet," the headmaster explained to the couple.
