"Alright!" he said. "All we have to do is find some strong-ish Pokémon to battle." He peered around, and saw through the bushes a small herd of Happiny. He knew they weren't very strong, but they gave a lot of experience. "I'll feel bad about this.." he thought.

Sy looked ready.

"I'll try and be gentle little guys"

"I'll heal you after this.." he said, and began throwing small rocks at them. After his half were fainted, he felt a rush of power as he leveled up. Then, he walked over to the Happiny and healed them with Synthesis. "Thank you!" he told them.

Sy battled his half trying not to hurt the Happiny too much and soon his half fainted too.

Synthesis went over to heal Sy's half of the Happiny. "I feel much stronger!" he told Sy.

Sy smiled.

"Me too feels great huh?"

"Except for the part where we had to attack those sweet Happiny!" he said. "At least they did it willingly, and I healed them afterwards. Do we need anymore training?"

Sy shrugged.

"I'm not sure but alittle more can't hurt I guess"

"Now," he said, "where do you think we can find more Pokémon? I think that we should continue looking in the forest."

Sy nodded.

"Yeah good idea let's have a look round.

Synthesis began rummaging through the bushes and glancing inside the hollows of trees. "So far, I haven't seen anything yet. Have you?" As he waited for an answer, he continued digging through the foliage. Behind a few tall trees and shrubs, a small waterfall and beautiful stream roared. Sleeping around the stream were many Bidoof, Hoppip, and Rattata.

"Sy! Come here! I found a bunch of Pokémon we could battle. They're asleep, so they probably won't feel a thing!" Synthesis whispered happily.

Sy looked and nodded.

"Right let's do this!"

Synthesis nodded, and quickly prepared himself for battle. The leaf on his head started glowing bright green, and many tiny, razor-sharp leaves began flying from it. He also started throwing rocks and toxic sludge and them, all before the other Pokémon could awaken. Soon, most were unconscious. Synthesis went to heal them, and used Sleep Powder to help keep them asleep.

As he waited to finish Sy to finish his part of the wild Pokémon. He felt the tell-tale rush of power and energy as he leveled up. He knew that he was close to evolving, but decided to wait and save it for a better time.

Sy used Force Palm on most of them then used Poison Jab.

"That's done"

"Now that we're much stronger, I think we're ready to take on Darkrai sometime in the future!" cried Synthesis. He began to do a little dance, and reached into his pouch and took out a poffin. "Let's eat a poffin to celebrate!"

Synthesis grabbed his poffin, and quickly ate it. "Delicious!" he told Sy. "Here, try one!" he said as he held one out to Sy.
