Annie and Sammy nodded, eyes trained solemly on Maya, who seems to be falling-asleep.

Calvin stood up carrying her, and led the way out. "We'll be leaving via teleportation, since there are too many of you for our flyers to carry, and I don't know how well you can fly."

"Okay." Annie replied in a cheerful voice, obviously delighted to have her best-friend back. Sammy held her hand tightly, looking at the three teens with a protective sort of wariness in his eyes.

Calvinb matched Sammy's look with his own protective death glare, all the while shifting Maya to one arm so he could recall Dragonite and send out Gardevoir, who latched onto his arm. "Can you all, like, hold hands or something with someone? We need to maintain contact until we get where we're going, and if anyone lets go, you will be left somewhere. So, yeah, don't let go."

Camille recalled Salamence and touched Calvin's shoulder while grabbing Annie's other hand.

Everyone grabbed-onto someone-else. Maya was asleep by this point, exhausted by grief.

Gardevoir teleported them back home. Calvin immediately took Maya inside to lay her down.

"Daddy?" Annie asked, worried, making a little move as-if to follow him.

"If it's about your mother, she'll be fine. Otherwise, ask away."

Annie smiled weakly and turned back to the other experiments.

After putting Maya to bed, Calvin returned and studied the kids with thoughtful eyes.

They were all sitting in a big circle, talking quietly.

"What're we gonna do with these kids?" Calvin muttered quietly.

"They don't even belong to families, I bet." Camille whispered.

Of-course, all the kids heard and looked-up.

"We're all test-tube-babies," Said one, "We dunno what families mean."

"Mind ya business." Calvin snapped. "We know."

"They don't mean nothin, Daddy."
