"Yep. So we'll need to go back to their base and blow it sky high. Maybe even interrogate someone." Calvin said sadistically.

"Uhh, is he okay?" Kalie asked.

Camille watched Peanut and Jose Jalapeno intently.

"Calvin. No." Maya said in a tone remarkably like that of someone scolding a disobidient pet.

"What? No interrogations? How else are we gonna get the information we need to shut them down?" Calvin asked. "They won't just talk peacefully, you know."

The TV screen suddenly wavered and blanked out, coating the room in darkness. Camille could have sworn she heard rolling thunder.

"Well, there are other experiments there that would probablly tell us anything we wanted to know." Maya said reasonably.

"Uh-oh." Brianne mumbled.

Annie stirred slightly.

Calvin nodded, pulling out his Pokénav and typing in a note. "Tomorrow, we go to the base."

"Want us to come?" Kalie asked. Then she saw the light flicker and go out, and heard thunder.

"Aww, I was watching that." Camille whined. "Damn thunderstorms."

And, of-course, the thunder woke Annie, who whimpered.

Kalie was the first to react to this, picking her up and cradling her before even Calvin could react.

"Well, now what?" Camille asked.

Which freaked Annie out, and she whimpered again, reaching for Calvin and Maya.

Calvin sighed, and took Annie from her, cradling her.

Annie instantly quieted-down, snuggling up against him, though she was trembling with fear of the thunder.

"Okay, calm down." Calvin said in a soothing tone. "Thunder is only noise. It can't hurt you. Liax and friends, shut up or I will hurt you."

Annie buried her face in his shirt. "Scary." She whimpered, "Hurts my ears."

Maya was very glad Annie couldn't see her, given that she hated storms, too. It had been storming the last time she saw her mother.

"Hey, I know what'll cheer you up." Calvin said, setting her down on the couch and grinning.

Annie crossed her arms and cut her eyes at him, as if to say 'I dare you.'

Calvin ignored this, and reached out to tickle her. Before he could make contact, she swung an uppercut into his jaw, sending him off his feet and across the room.

"OH, SHIT!" Just about everybody in the room exclaimed as Calvin hit the floor on his back.

"No tickling!" Annie shouted, sounding like an angry child, which, ironically, was what she was.

Terry laughed and ran to stand over Calvin. "YOU GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT!" He shouted, then ran back across the room.
