"Oh, look who finally emerged from the dead!" Terry laughed, seemingly unaware that he was now up shit creek without a paddle.
"Maya? Shouldn't you be resting?" Camille asked carefully.
All the response either of them got was a low hiss as she continued to stalk towards Terry.
"Umm... what's up with you?" Terry asked nervously.
"I believe the appropriate metaphor here involves a river of excrement and a Native American water vessel without any means of propulsion." Camille said, slowly backing away.
"Huh? What does that mean?"
Maya half-smiled. She reached Terry, grabbed him by the hair, and flung him across the room, where he slammed into the wall.
"Oww! The fuck?!"
The rabbits, who were sleeping nearby, woke up with a startled shriek and ran.
Camille stumbled over herself as she ran into the kitchen. "She's lost it!"
Annie ran to watch.
Maya calmly strolled over to him and continued the ass-kicking.
"Hey, wait! Get back here! It's not safe in there!"
"Aah! Get off me! Stop that! Help! She's killing me! Hey! That's not supposed to bend that way!"
Annie reluctantly returned.
Maya didn't relent.
"Trust me, you don't wanna be in the same room as her when she's mad, even if you're not the she's mad at."
"Ahh! Seriously! I've had enough of this!" He started to fight back.
Maya bested him easily and painfully. "Let this be a lesson," She hissed in his ear, "Do not. Touch. My daughter." She calmly went into the kitchen.
"Umm... is he still alive?" Camille asked nervously.
"Maya, what are you doing out of bed?" Victoria asked worriedly.
Annie ran to Maya, who picked her up and kissed the lump on her head. "Anyone who tries to touch my daughter has to deal with me."
"Even so, you should be in bed."
Maya sat-down in one of the kitchen-chairs.
"So, that aside, you look well."
The sound of something being dragged could be heard, then a door opening and closing. After that, distant screams came from outside.
"What was that?" Camille asked.
