Thread: Pokemon Quest 2: Melody of Hope (Yusei Fudo and Duke Devlin)

"I hope you're not afraid of ghosts," Dan smirked, taking Midori's briefcase and his, then, stood up. "Because this castle is scary, but amazingly beautiful."

Soon, the train stopped at Snowpoint Academy station. The students walked out of the train in properly manner. Shooter and Midori is the last to get out of the train. They strode towards a gothic drawbridge, where it leads to the castle entrance. Under the drawbridge, the water is very clean, stocked with Feebas and Magikarp, and water lilies. In the distance, Snowpoint Academy stood, dark, glorious, and beautiful.

"I hope you like it here," Shooter smiled, his eyes focusing on the castle. "I will be graduating from the school in few months, so yeah. You should get used to the school and makes lots of friends, okay?"

"O-oh. You're leaving?" the disappointment in Midori's voice was hard to miss. She wasn't good at making new friends.
"What're you doing after you graduate?"
(G....ghosts?) Lilly's little legs shook. (Ghosts are scary.... This is so creepy!)

"I'm not sure. But I want to be a Pokeathlete. Don't worry, you can always call me or Joey if you want us to help you out." Dan giggled, making his way to the castle. Now, he's walking with Midori and the other students through the gothic drawbridge, one of his favorite spots in the academy. In the evening, during his free time, he almost always stood here alone, looking at the water lilies and the Feebas on the pure white water.
Not Joey though. He prefer to wander off somewhere with his Aerodactyl. Even though its against the rule, Joey never got caught. "I'm sure you like it here. Well, if you can survive watching National Geographic Channel for two hours, then you'll like it here. Me? I hate this place. Kinda. Ahahah."

The wind tugged Shooter's cloak as he walked forward. "Just try not to get really close to a girl named Ritz. She's in the same class as you."

"I hear you talking about my girl, Shooter," came a voice. Suddenly, someone pushed Dan from behind. The boy fell, his cheek hitting cold stone floor underneath him. "What, you have a girl, now? Is she blind do date a guy like you?"

Anger burst upon the brown haired boy, and he stoop up, eyeing the bully who's laughing with his gang. "Shut up, Frederick. I don't wanna mess with you now."

Just then, Ales realized, how many similarities they shared together. Ochre colored eyes, brown hair, and their interest in sports. The Celestrian sighed. They could be best friends, but apparently, they chooses to be best enemies.

Midori flinched in surprise, then saw Ales had taken over Dan's body.
Still, the way that kid pushed Dan ticked her off. And when Midori was ticked off, it was one of the few times she wasn't afraid to talk to people.
"Hey, what'd you do that for?" she snapped at Zane. "He didn't do anything to you. Leave him alone."

"Zane's not talking to you," said one of Zane's friends. Blue, Zane's partner in crime since grade three, and his right hand. "You're brave for a new kid."
"Shh, Blue." Zane smirked. "Looks like Miss Dan over here is upset."

"Hey, Gogglehead, you better stop now before I got mad. Please." Shooter sighed. His eyes began turning red. not now, Ales. Not in front of everyone.
"See you at PE class, loser." Zane smirked, pushing away Shooter out of his way and began to head for the castle. His gang followed him.
Blue, glanced at Midori and Shooter, frowned, then quickly ran to catch up with Zane.

"Jerks," Midori snapped. "I hate it when kids pick on each other. Are you okay, Ale-- I mean, Dan?" Midori put a hand on his shoulder.
She felt herself going into her quiet shell again. Midori wasn't afraid to stick up for others, but that was about the most outgoing she could be. She could hold her ground against a bully, but not be able to introduce herself to anyone. It baffled her.

You should have let me threw him from the bridge and into the cold water below. Ales growled. Apparently, he could only be heard by Midori and Dan. he's tough, but I could still kick his ass.
"Please, I'm not Joey. I don't care about him. And yeah, I'm okay, Midori." Shooter siged. He got on his feet and brushed the dust off his uniform. "Well, what can I say? High school is his kingdom."
That's your problem! You're too soft and kind! Ugh...

"Just stay away from him, Midori." Shooter sighed. He put Midori in a playful headlock and mess her hair, laughing. "It looks like his gang likes you. I didn't know you're a boy magnet. Hahaha."

"Ahhh! Ahahahaha~" Midori squealed in surprise, then laughed as her face turned a bright red. "I-I didn't know I was one either... Is that a good thing?"
She looked up at Shooter, still blushing. She'd always admired him from afar. To be this close felt too good to be true.

"Of course its a good thing!" Shooter laughed, releasing her from the headlock. Realizing that they are the only one at the bridge, Shooter quickly pushed Midori forward playfully. "Come on, boy magnet. Its still seven minutes walk from here to the castle."
The road is very narrow, old, but lonely and beautiful, lit by elegant lamppost that dotted the sidewalk.

"Oh yeah, you havent got sorted into a house, right?" Shooter said, half hoping she would be sorted into Mesprit Red, where dwell the brave at heart. "Joey and I are at the same house."

"Yes," Midori said and nodded. "That's cool... I-I hope I'm in the same house you are. Maybe we'll get to know each other better." She smiled brightly. "What houses are there again?"

"Well, there's Mesprit Red, Azelf Blue, and Uxie Yellow," Shooter said, walking towards the castle. "Well yeah, its not everyday I could meet someone like you. I mean, I live near your house, but we don't really talk to each other. Then again, I just sat in my room, looking at you from the window. You know, you're not like other girls I've ever met. When you read, you don't read books like "US weekly" or "Seventeen", but a substantial, thick book. And when you look at the mirror, you don't have the annoying "whoah, I'm pretty" look on your face. But a "hi world, this is me." Look. Then when I saw you walking through your door, you're looking to the world with a smile. That's.. That's amazing."

That is the creepiest, or maybe the sweetest thing I've heard. Ales bit back a laugh. you two are cute together...

It was normal, warm, sunny day. Nothing out of the ordinary. Well, it was perfectly normal until Jasmine's Pokegear rings.
One unread E-mail.
The subject of the E-mail was "News"
The sender was unknown, but the text is strange.
It says "Good Morning!
Here are today's news.

1. Today, at 13.00 an explosion will occur at Sinnoh Pokemon League. Thanks to Ernest Atticus Alexanderson, no one will be killed.

2. At 15.30, a localized blizzard will occur at Snowpoint City. Three victims will be murdered by an angel

Shuto Dan
Joaquin Moriarty
Midori

Midori blushed a bright red. "R-really? You think I'm amazing?"
She felt so happy and warm inside. She always thought she was the one watching Dan, not that he was the one watching her.
"I wish I got up the guts to talk to you sooner," she said, beginning to curl a stray piece of hair around her finger. "You're so nice to people."

Jasmine had been sitting outside on her deck, catching some warm rays of the sun when her Pokegear rang.
She opened the message, read it twice...then got up calmly and went inside.
"Diego, honey, I think there's something you need to see," she said, trying her hardest to keep her voice level.
Vara, who was eating a small apple as a snack in the kitchen, jerked her head up. "Jasmine? What's wrong?"

"Yep." Dan smiled, now reaching the castle's door. He stepped up to the small stairs and through the wooden double door. Torches that hangs on the wall lights up the corridor. "Anyway, you gotta see the principal first, right? You got that letter from Vis-whatever?"

At that moment, another mail popped up at her pokegear screen.
It says "I'm sure you noticed the mail by now.

Jasmine, everything in the world has causes and effects. If some intelligence could record and analyze every events simultaneously, the future would be no longer mystery to us.

Ultimately, nothing created by man can ever be truly perfect, but you can use these messages to guide you from now on.

The prediction may not be absolute, but if the root cause of the events described don't change, its highly likely that the results will still end up the same.
... That's fate.

The sender ID says "Vasilios"

"Oh....oh, yeah!" Midori reached into her backpack and pulled out the letter. "Yeah. Vislec. He's a friend of Ales's. And the principal. Can you show me where he is? I...I hope I'm not being a bother..." she looked at the ground, somewhat ashamed.

Jasmine read the new message and blinked another few times.
Vasilios. She recognized the name. Ales's twin brother.
But why would Vasilios want to warn her of events of the future?
Vara looked at Jasmine expectantly, awaiting an answer.
"Um... Nothing. Nevermind. I have to find Twitch."
The previous email had mentioned him. Maybe he could help her sort this out.

"Unfortunately... I'm scared of the principal." Shooter sweatdropped. Its not like he's a coward, hell, he's not scared to anyone. Well, except the principal and of course, the math teacher. "You should go with Joey. Or Zane, if you want...."
The boy looked at the letter curiously and then raised his shoulder. "But eh, yeah, its not hard to miss. Just go through this corridor, turn right until you reach a statue of an Absol and pull the horn."

"Eh, wait, what? See Twitch? I don't think he's round the League. He's visiting his sister at Eterna. You remember her, right?" Diego said, having heard that Jasmine said he wanted to meet him. He threw away the Rubik's cube he's been tinkering with for the last thirty minutes. "And... You don't usually want to meet him. What happened?"
