"But he won't."
Maya chose to ignore her, turning back to the TV.
Maya continued ignoring her.
My glanced at him, question in her eyes.
Maya blushed slightly. "Just……thinking about how your relatives would react if they walked-in right-now. From the looks I got when Terry and Victoria showed me the guest-room I'm s'posta sleep in, I'm not allowed to be here. And I know I shouldn't be thinking 'bout that, but……"
"Oh, no. I was told to stay put. I just chose to sneak-out. But you have such a big damn house that I got lost."
Calvin looked immensely troubled hearing that. "...Well, if things get bad, I can have Gardevoir teleport you back there."
Maya nodded. "Calvin?" She asked after a moment, "Why don't they like me?"
"... I honestly don't know. It could be your skin color, but I hope it' not that superficial. I think you're just an enigma to them. People always fear what they don't understand."
Maya sighed, dropping her head into her hands.
