"I couldn't...." Abby sighed sadly, "I'm so sorry..."
Law winced as the potion was being applied.
"Damn. At the speed she's at, she'll probably get a Trainer's License from the next PokeCenter and have the stolen Pokemon be registered under her name." Animus hissed out.
Juniper sighed. "Great, just great. Like I need this headache..." She sighed out, rubbing her head.
"I'm sorry..." Abby trailed off sadly, feeling like she should've been able to stop it.
"It's okay. At least you saw what the thief looks like, right?" Animus asked, looking at Abby while Juniper looked at Law.
"He looks a little stronger." The professor noted, noting the Snivy's victory.
"Yes, I saw her," Abby answered, "I could pick her out in a heartbeat."
"Good girl." Animus said with a smile.
"For now, head to Aloccomosa City. Just give her a good thrashing for me, will you?" Juniper asked, putting her hands on Animus and Abby.
"We will." The male said with a nod, eager to give the thief a lesson for stealing Pokémon and items.
"I already did," Abby retorted but blushed when Animus called her a 'good girl'.
"I think she means a total loss, Abby." Animus clarified gently.
"Good. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be doing lab damage control." Juniper said, walking off and muttering to herself.
"Well, this is one way to start a journey." Animus said, scratching his ear.
"Oh," Abby frowned before looking at Animus, "Indeed it is."
"Oh, I almost forgot. The professor wanted me to give you these." Animus said, taking out five empty PokéBalls and handed them to Abby.
Abby smiled as she received the Pokeballs. She put them in her bag before looking at Animus.
"Thank you," she replied, "Shall we go?"
"Sure." Animus said, holding his arms out as if to say "ladies first".
"Thank you," Abby smiled as she began walking.
As soon as she got into the tall grass, a Lillipup started barking at Abby.
"Wow, that's a record." Animus said, taking out a notepad and began writing it down.
"It's so cute," Abby cooed as she looked at the Lillipup.
