Thread: Pokémon Elite Detectives (Me & Royal Sovereign)

"You brats! You will pay for this!" The man exclaimed, recalling Hydreigon. "This isn't the end!" He ran off... or tried to, as he ran into the closed door and knocked himself out.

"...Huh? Was that it?" Calvin asked.

"All talk." Calvin said, grabbing him. "Well, let's let the authorities do what they will with this place. We are out of here."

"I never doubted the usefulness of that skill." Calvin said, leading them out. "However, it seems I have much to teach you when it comes to technology."

"I'm afraid so." Calvin said. "They shouldn't be too long."

"In the meantime, we can get to know each other better." Camille suggested.

''Sounds like a pretty good idea.'' Mogami said. ''So what's your story?'' She asked Camille.

"Well, we've always wanted to be detectives." Camille said. "We've always been the investigate type, and we were always good at being unnoticed."

"Our first big thing was when we followed a shady looking guy down a dark alley." Calvin continued. "The smoke in the alley blew our covers, since we're allergic to fumes. Then the guy attacked us. So we got out of the smoke, and managed to drag him to the ground. Turns out he was trying to transport illegally obtained Pokémon."

"Yep. Our instinct was correct. That made us kinda famous in our hometown of Castelia City." Camille finished.

''Hm. Impressive story, I must say. Not as impressive as mine. I'm just Mogami. Nothing special about me. Well... Apparently, I'm really brave and stuff. And reckless. But forget I ever said that I'm reckless.'' Mogami said. ''Actually, I lost my father when I was a bit younger. And I got into a fight with a bunch of Pokémon hunters once. But that's all, really.'' She said.

"...Which is how you got the scar you mentioned before, as well as your Latias." Calvin said, putting the figurative pieces of the puzzle together. "Interesting."

'"Yeah. I objected to taking care of Suzuya, but my hometown's mayor kind of forced me to take care of her. I'm not too proud of the scar, to be quite honest.'' Mogami said. ''But I can't say it made my life worse. The whole thing with Suzuya, I mean.''

"Yeah, just gotta play the hand that life deals you." Calvin said. "A legendary Pokémon is a big responsibility, but it makes you all the better in the end."

''Yeah... But I'm scared of that thing with the Pokémon hunters happening again. That's why I initially refused to take care of Suzuya. And she's a bit... Clingy.'' Mogami said. ''It hurt when that hunter asshole stabbed me. It really, really hurt. Anyway, how long until the backup gets here?'' She asked.

"I think that's them." Camille said, pointing to an approaching car.

"Fear is a natural response." Calvin said. "It means you know what could happen. But you had the courage to take responsibility despite this, and you're handling it well from my perceptions."
