Thread: Pokémon Elite Detectives (Me & Royal Sovereign)

"True, but hey- gotta learn sometime, right?" Calvin said. "Time to land." Dragonite began a descent toward a clump of trees about 50 yards away from the building.

"Salamence, you need to land quietly." Camille said, coaxing Salamence into a gentle landing.

"I'd be more than happy just to make it out in one piece." Mogami said. Suzuya followed Calvin and Camille's Pokémon in their descents. "So, if I may ask, what's the plan?" Mogami asked.

"Simple." Calvin said, pulling out a device and recalling Dragonite. "We sneak around the side of this building and locate the breaker box, then we plant this EMP charge on it to disable their communications, surveillance cameras, and other electronic equipment. Then we get inside and investigate."

"He's our tech specialist, if you hadn't noticed." Camille said, recalling Salamence.

"You call this simple?" Mogami said. "You certainly know your tech stuff." She muttered before recalling Suzuya. "Anyway, I guess we're ready to go, then."

"Yep. Follow me." Calvin said, walking through the clump of trees. Agfter a minute, he paused. "We're near the side of the building." he observed. He paused again. "Ssh. There's a camera nearby." There was a whirring sound to the left, and a camera was visible, looking at them. "We're just outside its field of vision. Be careful." He whispered, moving further to the right to avoid it.

Mogami quietly cursed and followed Calvin, trying to stay out of sight. [I]Note to self: put on more practical clothes on my next assignment.] She thought.

Calvin reached the edge of the trees, and saw the breaker box at eye level on the building. He walked over to it, and studied it. "Hey Mogami, come over here. I need you to pick this lock." He said, waving her over.

"I know those lockpicks I took along would come in handy." Mogami said, reaching into her shirt again in search of her set of lockpicks, taking her Pokéballs out as well. "If any of you two could be so kind as to hold on to these?" She said, giving her Pokéballs to Calvin.

After a few minutes of trying, the lock opened. "There you go." Mogami said, proudly puffing up her chest again.

"Thank you." Calvin said, shifting the Poké Balls to one hand so he could plant the EMP charge on the inner machinery. After placing it and hearing the machinery power down, he closed the box, and handed Mogami her Poké Balls back. "Now, we make our way inside."

"Found a door!" Camille called.

"Just one thing." Mogami said, putting her Pokéballs back where they belonged and lifting her Snivy off her shoulder. "Alright, Mikuma, I want you to find a hiding place and wait for us there. Don't show youtself to anyone else, alright?" Mogami said. Mikuma whined quietly and nodded before Mogami stood up again. "Done. Let's go." She said.

"Alright. Let's see what Camille found." Calvin said. Camille was standing in front of an open door. "It was unlocked." She said. "Looks like the coast is clear."

"What kind of idiot leaves a backdoor like this open?" Mogami muttered, entering the building through the door. "I don't trust this." She mumbled.

"You shouldn't." Calvin said, opening a Poké Ball, from which a Lampent appeared. "Smoke this corridor out with Smog, will you?" He asked. Lampent nodded, and flew down the corridor, blowing toxic gases. "You may wanna use this." Camille reached in her pack and pulled out three gas masks.

"Great idea." Mogami said, putting on one of the gas masks. Wonder where they got those. I have a lot to learn from these two. She thought.

"Always be prepared." Calvin said after putting on his mask. After a minute, he heard coughing, and Lampent came back with several dazed and incapacitated guards in his wake. "Well, that takes care of that."
