Sy pulled himself up.

"Don't worry, I'm OK."

Vui came warily to the mouth of the cave.

"Vui, stay behind me!" Sy warned, but looked alittle scared.

Vui stood next to him, brave but nervous.

Then a Shiny Zangoose appeared.

"Oh how cute! You're gonna protect your little friends?"

Sy growled shaking.

"Stay away!"

Vui hissed, sounding pretty dangerous for a nine-year-old.

The Zangoose snickered, and went towards Vui.

"Well, aren't you a fiesty one."

He reached out for her, but Sy grabbed his wrist, his eyes suddenly as cold as ice.

"Don't you dare touch her." he hissed venomously.

"Sy!" Vui started forward, desperate. Sy was family in all but blood. When she had been just an Evee-kit, brainwashed by Aroura, Sy was the only one who'd tried to bring her back. She still owed him for that. She couldn't let that Zangoose hurt her brother.

Sy blocked her.

"No, Vui! Stay back!"

The Zangoose smirked.

"Oh come on, let her try."

Sy growled.

"It's me you want! You won't hurt my sister!!!!

"Your sister!?" laughed the Zangoose. "I'm sorry but I don't see the resemblence."

Sy just glared.

"You don't have to look alike to be family. I refuse to lose anyone else! Now back off!"

Devo ran out, a yellow blur, and bit the Zangoose. "Nobody tries to touch Vui in front of me." He snarled.

The Zangoose stumbled back having not expected that surprise attack.

"Where in the name of Mew did you come from?!"

Sy stood next to Devo ready to help.

"Be careful, he's tricky."

Devo just snarled. Vui stood on Sy's other side.

Zangoose glared at Devo.

"You know inturupting someone in the middle of a convosation is quite rude I may have to teach you a lesson!"Zangoose went towards him but Sy blocked his way ready to use Hidden Power.

"Stay back!"

Suddenly, the Zangoose was flung backwards by a Water-Gun from Vui, who looked furious.

The Zangoose sat up wiping the water off his face then glared at Vui.

"Oh....now you've done it!"

The Zangoose charged at Vui with a Poison Jab.

Sy looked horrified.

"Vui look out!"

Sy dived in front of her taking the Poison Jab in the back.
