Dash hugged Gilda. "It's okay. I forgive you." She said with a warm smile.
"They have technology to help with that. Rather outdated tech, I might add." Samus said, watching Relic take a undamaged cloaking device from a Space Pirate who got decapitated from a rather vicious roundhouse kick.
"That would explain the rather extensive device." Chronicle noted, taking notes from the armor.
"Only one way to find out." Vampire said, taking out her sword as well, and began walking towards the alien settlement. As they had moved closer and closer, their were less and less nature. Chopped down trees, birds and animals sounding more and more distant, and the ground grew dryer and dryer to walk on, to the point where grass could not grow.
"Expansive." Vampire noted, smelling death and greed in the air.
"Thankfully, she's not in the area. She headed some 80 kilometers southwest of the town to a rocky beach of some sort an hour or so ago. Delta Team is near that area, but I hope they don't tangle with her. They're still building their base." A topographic specialist said, having observed Samus' movement.
"Sir, we got unknown cold energy signatures coming towards the base." A guard said, running to the Pirate that had talked to Arnost first.
"Dispatch a couple of Flying Pirates. They should not be any trouble." The Base Leader said, brushing the unknown threat off.
Vampire then noticed two flying aliens coming in hot and loud, wearing propulsion jets and metallic armoring along their bodies. They then aimed at the two Greater Phantoms.
"[Turn back now, or we will kill you!]" One bellowed in an alien language that sounded like sharp hisses and deep guttural growls.
Vampire looked at Windigo, then crouched and leaped at one of the flying aliens, it screaming in shock then pain, as Vampire sank her fangs into the vulnerable neck.
The other snapped out of his shock, and fired at Vampire's back, getting an annoyed response from the bloodsucker.
"What are they?!" A Pirate yelled in shock, shocked that humanoid beasts were so unafraid of Pirates that they would outright attack them, not to mention able to withstand standard laser fire without (apparent) protection.
