Thread: My Little Metroid: Magic is Showtime! *Me and Hyokamen Brycen!*

Lyra rubbed her head. "I guess so...my bad..."

"Well...want to meet our families?" asked Twilight. "Well, Rarity and Applejack's, the rest of our families don't live here."

"I would be delighted." Samus said, turning to Twilight. "Old Bird!" Samus called out, getting an inquisitive squawk in response. "Keep an eye on the ship while I'm gone." She ordered, getting a confirming caw.

"You called your pet bird 'Old Bird'?" Bon Bon asked.

"Out of memory of a member of my adopted family." Samus answered. She didn't think it was worth the effort of explaining the entirety of her backstory to the two just yet.

"Um...If I'm not too overboard with it...can I still ask you some questions?" asked Lyra, feeling embarrassed, but her interest in humanity still there.

"Applejack, any idea what the Cutie Mark Crusaders are up to?" asked Twilight.

"Sure. Long as they don't involve my past." Samus said.

"Hopefully nothing that involves explosions." Applejack replied.

"Cu... Huh?" Samus asked, turning around.

"Oh yeah, we never did tell you about our Cutie Marks. It's the pictures on our flanks that shows us our special talent. That is, what we're best at." Dash explained, getting Samus to look at everyone's flanks. "Candy maker, lyre player, something involving apples, sparkles, and... A rainbow lightning bolt?" Samus stated with an inquisitive tone.

"Is mine a little misleading?" Dash asked Twilight, as Samus looked downright stumped.

The three walked by, with a metal detector. Apparently, they are the Treasure Seekers this time around.

"Mine is magic, Applejack's is...I think apples in general, she can do almost anything with them," said Twilight. "Rainbow, why don't you show her what yours really means?" she asked, knowing Rainbow had mastered her Sonic Rainboom now.

"There they are," said Rarity. "Girls! Can you come here please?"

"We weren't doing nothing!" Apple Bloom called out out of reflex, then the three walked inside. Scootaloo noticed the alien ship and stopped, and noticed Samus.

"ALIEN INVADER!!!!" She screamed, then the girls screamed out of fright, getting Samus's helmet to spark.

Audio receivers damaged. Repairing receivers. Estimate: 3 minutes.

"Girls! Calm down," said Rarity. "This is Samus, yes, she's not of our world, but she's not an alien invader, she's a friend," the mare explained. "Samus, this is Applebloom, Applejack's little sister, Sweetie Belle, my sister, and Scootaloo...who to my knowledge is related to none of us, but is Rainbow's biggest fan."

"One second; that scream knocked my audio transceivers." Samus said, taking off her helmet.

"Odd-wha?" Applejack asked, as the Crusaders looked at Samus oddly.

"My electronic ears. Lets me hear the world when I wear my helmet." She clarified.

"She looks funny." Scootaloo remarked.

"She's a human," said Twilight. "The things Lyra kept talking about."

"Yep, they're real!" said Lyra happily, but more toned back.

Twilight then reintroduced the CMC.

"I see. And what are you guys planning on doing with that metal detector?" Samus asked.

"Hunting for lost treasure." Scootaloo said, confidently. "Have a map?" Samus asked, getting Scootaloo to double take. "Uh... No."

"Then don't go." Samus said flatly.

"We did find an old tin can, but that's it..." said Sweetie Belle. "And we didn't get our Cutie Mark ether."

"A pony gets their Cutie Mark when they find the thing they're truly good at. When that happens, it appears," said Twilight. "Even magic can't make it appear before that. So these three decided to pretty much try everything to try and find their special talents."

"Maybe I can help with the treasure hunting. God knows I need a break from my usual kind of hunting." Samus said.

"You'll help?!" Scootaloo asked excitedly.

"You're sure about this?" Applejack whispered to Samus.

"Sure. After all, it can't be that hazardous." Samus said. She was curious about what happens when a pony did get their Cutie Mark.

"Um...you'd be surprised," said Rarity. "There was that one time when they ended up setting off a wrecking ball," she said. "They started out a Cutie Mark Crusader Basket Weavers."

"The bird healed..." said Sweetie Belle. "I don't know how we ended up covered in tree sap."

"All the more reason for me to go, then." Samus said, sounding like her protective side was taken over, and the CMC are the ones who are getting the protection.

Later...

"Well, good luck." Applejack called out, waving as the CMC left, under the supervision of Samus.

Sweetie Belle was rather excited to have Samus along. "So...that helmet tells you things about the ponies you look at with it?" she asked, curious. "Bet it would say Scootaloo's a chicken," she joked.
