Thread: MLP: The Circus Comes to Town (Me and Godzillawolf!)

"Don't you guys have a show to prepare for though?" asked Twilight.

"Nope. I do the technical stuff." Running Gear said.

"But I do have one to prepare! Sorry, everypony, but I gotta jet!" Rainbow said, flying off.

"Same!" Applejack said, galloping off back to her home as well.

"Me too!" Pinkie said, bouncing off.

"So does Trixie!" Trixie announced, running off.

"Um...we never got to mine and Rarity's acts..." said Fluttershy.

"Well, we can go take a look at that if you want," said Sakak.

Rarity nodded. "Certainly."

Sakak teleported himself and the two away.

"Our act is later..." said Aponi. "We've got plenty of time..."

"Well...we could fly a kite," said Twilight.

"Fly a kite? What's that? I've never heard of it." Moth said.

Aponi nodded. "I haven't either."

"Do you know what one is, Running Gear?" asked Twilight.

"I've heard of it, but I don't know what it is." Running Gear said.

"Alright, hold on," said Twilight, teleporting away and coming back with four kites. "Here we go."

"So what're we supposed to do with these things?" Running Gear asked.

Twilight demonstrated how to fly them, Cadence helping as well. "My big brother taught me how to fly a kite when I was a filly," she explained. "It's actually pretty relaxing when you get the hang of it."

Aponi took a few times to finally get the kite flying. "It is kind of fun."

Running Gear just watched the kite flying through the sky.

"Oh! Can I try too?" Moth said.

Aponi went to Moth and helped her get started. "Got it?" she asked, carefully, patiently.

"I... I think so." Moth said.

"Twilight. I have to say... You're a very friendly pony. Really." Running Gear said.

Twilight gave a smile. "Thanks...but would you believe two years ago I thought making friends was a waste of time?"

"Yes. Because it's what I thought, too. Until I met Sakak." Running Gear said.

"I felt that way until we had to save the world from Nightmare Moon," said Twilight, thinking about it. "I knew Nightmare Moon was going to return, but I didn't know what to do...I said 'the future of Equestria does not depend on me making friends'...And well, you can see how wrong that was."
