Thread: MLP: The Circus Comes to Town (Me and Godzillawolf!)

"Well, it's a long story...wait, those names," said Sakak, scratching his jaw. "Oh, you six are the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, aren't you?" he asked, realizing it. "The ones who put that horrible brute Discord back in his prison when he tried to conquer the world?"

''Ah s'pose we are.'' Applejack said.

''The bearers of the Elements of Harmony, huh...'' Running Gear said.

''Come on! Cheer up!'' Pinkie said to Running Gear, who just sighed and looked at the ground.

''Anyway, Ah still didn't get an answer to mah question.'' Applejack said.

"Well, I suppose I should explain so there isn't another misunderstanding, shouldn't I?" asked Sakak. "But let's go inside, I'd rather explain inside," he said, openning the door to the train car. "Come in and have some tea, I'll explain."

''Alright.'' Applejack and Pinkie said, both at the same time, following Sakak into the train car, Rainbow Dash and Running Gear right behind them.

Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy followed after, Sakak closing the door.

A circus clown put the tea in front of the group, then left.

"Alright, I will cut to the chase," said Sakak. "The form you see me in right now is not my real one. I stay in this form because someone of my species is near universally hated and I'm misunderstood for sharing his species."

''... That's ponykind for you.'' Running Gear quietly said. ''Always stereotyping... I hate stereotypes.''

''... So what are you, then?'' Pinkie asked, rather oblivious to what was going on.

''Yeah. And what's up with your friend here?'' Rainbow Dash asked.

''... Didn't expect you lot to be so curious.'' Running Gear said.

"Don't blame them too much, Running Gear, you know who that monster was," said Sakak.

"Well, I'm the Spirit of Mischief," explained Sakak.

"Spirit of Mischief?" asked Twilight, startled.

"Yes, I exist to do lighthearted mischief and make ponies laugh...and occasionally turn criminals who deserve it into kittens," Sakak added. "But that's where the trouble is. The trouble is that I am a Draconequus. And you're all too aware of the only other member of that species who ponies have any knowledge of is."

''... Still. Ponies stereotype too much.'' Running Gear said.

''So there's more of you?'' Rainbow Dash said. '"Wow. I never knew. Well, we'll treat you with respect.'' She said.

''... Sakak, shall I just be honest with them as well? They're the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, I think I can... Trust them.'' Running Gear said.

"Yes, there WERE, Discord took care of that, unfortunately. To my knowledge, myself and him are the only two of our kind left," explained Sakak. He then snapped his fingers and in a flash of red light assumed his true form. The light faded revealing that he looked little like Discord outside of general body shape and having a pony's head, which had uniform eyes, snake-like fangs, and elk antlars, but looked more michevious than anything else. His fur was dark reddish brown and the animals composing his body were different as well. His right arm was that of a bear, his left a coyote's paw. His left wing was a ravens' while his right a brown bat's, one of his legs being a dear's, the other a grey wolf, a skunk's tail were Discord had a snake's.

"If you choose, Running Gear," said Sakak, noticing the ponies looked a little on edge seeing his true self.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack just stared in awe. Pinkie, however, seemed remarkably unfazed.

''... Alright. My secret is... Probably less spectacular than Sakak's.'' Running Gear said. ''I'm terribly sorry to bring this all crashing down on you ponies, but you seem... Trustworthy. No sense in not telling you.'' She said before she threw off her cloak, revealing her blank flank and wings. ''I am... An alicorn. And... I hate it.''

Twilight's jaw dropped. "You're...an Alicorn? But I thought there were only three..."

"We're not actually sure ourselves how it's possible," said Sakak, scratching his head, while sitting on a rather long couch he manifested out of nowhere.

''I don't know either. I have no idea what my name is... How old I am... All I know is my nickname, Running Gear, and a rough estimate of my age. My oldest memory... Is from around 650 years ago, I think.'' Running Gear said.

"Oh..." said Twilight. "Do you think the princess would know?"

"We're actually no our way to ask them about it, and me to be reunited with them," said Sakak. "I haven't seen Sunshine and Moonbeam in over three thousand years."

"Huh?"

"I'm kind of their foster father...it's a long story involving Discord and a great many things I'm pretty sure Celly wouldn't want her little ponies to hear, trust me," said Sakak. "I was sealed in a coyote totem by Discord before those two put him away because I helped fight him. I'm the one who gave him that missing fang."

''I've never asked the Princesses, to be honest... I just want to be known as a normal unicorn pony.'' Running Gear said. ''... So I probably won't be asking them either.''

"Believe me, they know how you feel," said Twilight. "They both really just want to be friends with their subjects," said Twilight. "I think it honestly makes Celestia sad ponies don't see her as a friend instead of a goddess."

"She was always quite humble," said Sakak, then chuckled. "Always a good laugh too. We lived in Everfree Forest for quite some time, only place me and Discord were on even footing, because it's kind of immutatable. Discord and my powers were more even there. No matter how many times he tried to get to Celly and Lulu, we made sure he never did. Played a LOT of funny pranks on the old tyrant...want to see the pictures?" he asked, producing a picture of Discord, afflicted with Poison Joke and shrunk to one inch tall being chased by a bird through Everfree.
