"It's just nice weather and beautiful views everywhere," Rogue smiled and started walking again.

"Yeah," Naoki replied as he followed, "Though...there's something I want to admit..."

Rogue turned to face Naoki, so she was walking backwards now. "Well, spit it out."

Naoki blinked, surprised that Rogue was able to spontaneously walk backwards without any problem. Well that's interesting, he thought.

"E-er...well," he started, "That...um...to be honest. That Chandelure we found back in the forest...I was kind of hoping we could have taken it with us..." He let out a sigh.

"... I think it was for the best," Rogue began slowly, "I don't think we could handle a Chandelure. A Litwick, maybe, but definitely not a Chandelure. I mean, I'm still kinda a new trainer and there are times when Skipper doesn't listen to me. Makes me worried about Eve. I think she might be close to evolving..."

"Well...you have a point," Naoki sighed, "But I really felt sorry for it. To be honest...had it not been a Fire-type, I probably would have tried to give it a hug."

Why did I just admit that? he thought, honestly feeling a little embarrassed.

"It was sad to hear that its trainer died," Rogue said, "But Erik said that he knew somebody who likes Ghost types, so maybe it'll be happy now."

"Hopefully," Naoki sighed.

"...where did you learn to walk backwards so easily?"

Rogue looked down at her feet and back up to Naoki. "... I'm not really sure."

Naoki simply laughed.

"Well alright," he said, "I was just curious."

Rogue gave Naoki a puzzled look. "Why? Is it weird?"

"I personally don't think so," Naoki replied, "But others might."

"Hmm, maybe," Rogue spun around and saw that they were halfway across the bridge. The skyscrapers in Castelia could be seen now.

"... Those buildings are really tall."

"Yeah they are," Naoki said, "I can't imagine what it must be like to have a job where your office is on the top floor of one of them..."

"Heh, it's probably a nice view. And a pain to get to."
