Thread: Fusion (Stellar Gale and Professor Erin)

"Secret." Sal put her finger in front of her lips. "But if you keep quiet and follow me I'll tell you."

Doing as she was told Melody followed after Drake and Sal behind the big white doors to find out what this "secret was".

Sal let the two into a large laboratory, there were a lot more scientists like the ones that Sal had been earlier, except that they all seemed focus in what they were working on. There were also multiple Pokemon that were being checked on in each one of the machines stationed around the room. "Come with me." Sal smiled and led Drake and Melody both towards a large screen overlooking a large training room. In the center of the room stood a man wearing a completely blue colored suit, he had a Drapion on his side. Drake noticed something else though, the man was wearing a wristband around his hand, the wristband in turn had a black coloured stone attached to it.

"What's that?' Drake asked curiously, noticing that Snivy was doing his best to look through the glass.

"It's our new project." Sal smiled and stared at the man as well. "We call it Merge Stone."

"So.....by merge does it fuse you and your Pokemon?" Melody asked eyes widened, and completely baffled by the idea.

"Melody come on." Drake chuckled before patting her head gently. "That's just something out of sci fi, there's no way something like that is possible." he crossed his arms before sighing in disappointment.

"Actually she's right." Sal smiled, causing Drake to gasp a bit before looking at Melody and then at her. "Basically that's the main purpose of the stone, we still don't know precisely how to harness it's power but we're sure that the bond between the trainer and his or her Pokemon has something to do with it." she explained while staring at the man.

"That's......amazing! Um....can we see how it works? Cause to be honest I'm curious." Melody asked nervously as she scratched the back of her head.

"We were actually in the middle of a test drive." Sal nodded hr head as she crossed her arms. "However it takes a while sadly, we still don´t know how it works specifically so we have to wait a few minutes for both the trainer and Pokemon to be completely relaxed."

"I think I understand. If the trainer and Pokemon aren't relaxed the whole process can be thrown off completely? Either way I don't mind waiting. Cause thanks to Drake I bet we made you wait earlier." Melody stuck out her tongue as she said this, teasing Drake.

"Shut up." Drake frowned at Melody. He turned back to look inside the room. The teenager was now smiling as he held onto his left hand, suddenly the stone that was attached to his wristband began to glow. He pulled out a pokeball and release a Rhydon into the room as he held his left hand up. "All right Rhydon, let's do this!" the teenager screamed before the stone glowed brighter and a large bright sphere covered both him and his Pokemon. When the light subsided the teenager's skinn had been turn completely grey coloured and metalic, he had claws in place of hands and a long tail that stretched out from his back, there was a long potruding drill horn at the top of its head and his eyes had turned completely red while fangs poked out from his mouth.

"T-t-that's amazing!" Melody stuttered, completely dumbfounded by the sight before her.

Drake was just as astonished as she was as he stared at the teenager. He didn't know what to say and instead nodded his head in agreement with her. "I didn't even think that would be possible."

"Yeah it's amazing." Sal smiled. "But there are still some complications that we're facing."

"Complications? Like what?" Melody asked with a look of concern on her face.

The teenager began to groan and roare loudly causing Drake's attention to turn back to the room as he fell to his knees and began glowing once more. The teenager and the Rhydon were once more separated and both panting. "It's unstable depending on the bond, and if they look their focus for even a second they will lose the fusion as well." Sal explained. "And this guy is the best one we've got. "

"So the stronger the bond with your Pokemon, the longer the fusion?" Melody glanced at Harmony in her arms before looking back at the teenager and his Rhydon. "It seems to be exhausting on the both of them as well." Melody's eyes widen at the state the guy and his Pokemon were in.

"Well when you fuse your experience a large increase in weight, strenght and other things that your body is not accustomed to." Sal explained slowly and pocketed her hands. "If the fusion's unstable then it'll cause all of that to bounce back to you."

"Seems difficult." Drake nodded his head as he looked at the teenager and then at Sal. "So you called us to show us this super secret project?" he raised an eyebrow and snickered. Drake had known Sal for a long time and as thus he was also good at knowing when she was asking for help. "You want us to help."

"Well you two share strong bonds with your Pokemon." Sal nodded her head. "I was wondering if maybe you two would actually be able to pull it off a little better."
