"Get one of the dresses here." Van pointed out before looking around the store. "I'll pay for it."

"I can't allow you to do that," Rose frowned, "I'm just a mere peasant woman."

"Not for tonight." Van grinned before taking out his wallet and handing it to Rose. "I want you to pick the best dress you see here." he smiled at her, staring at her so that she had no option.

"I don't want you wasting your money on me," Rose frowned. Suddenly, her boss walked beside her.

"Just pick a damn dress," she said with her grouchy, elderly voice, "The man's offering to pay for it, so he must see something in you." Rose sighed in defeat.

"Come on Rose." Van smiled warmly at her before holding her hand. "You can't say that you seriously truly don't want to go."

"I just don't want someone wasting their money on me," Rose sighed, "It's not like it's going to be worth it. I don't have much longer to live anyways."

"What do you mean?" Van asked, indeed looking concern

"I have a disease," Rose explained, "I'll be dead in less than six months."

Van looked at Rose for a moment. While it is true that it's weird for a vampire to care for a human so much there was something speciala bout her, something that he knew he couldn't find anywhere else. "Then all the more reason." Van stated before he bowed in front of her. "You should enjoy this while you have the time to."

"I suppose," Rose sighed.

"Just come with me dear Rose." Van smiled and held her a bit tighter. "Just let your worries go for the night."

"Okay," Rose replied with a sigh.

"Now." Van smiled and let go of her hand. "Pick the best dress you can."

"Fine," Rose sighed as she moved from her station and began looking around at the dresses.

"Good." Van nodded his head at her. "I'll be waiting."
