"Give me proof that I can trust you," Rose replied, "Prove to me that you really do care deeply for me, that I'm not just some girl you plan on dumping when you find another girl you want to court."

"First of all I didn't dumped them, they dumped me." Van stated bluntly. "Second of all they were all far apart from each other so it's not like one relationship ended and I jumped into a new one."

"That much is true." Van turned to look at the entrance of the living room as he saw Edward standing by the wall. "The guy expent five years depressed after each relationship fell to the ground, kind of weak if you ask me." he smirked.

"Your math is wrong," Rose narrowed her eyes, "He's apparently a lot older than he's saying. I think he's been moreso depressed for around three years." she looked to Edward at this point.

"Actually considering that he's 60 years old and has dated 20 women that would average it to one every....oh right." Edward pointed out before he began counting with his fingers. "Girl's got a point"

"Well if you want me to show you then just give me the chance." Van interrupted.

"I want you to prove it to me," Rose answered with a frown.

"I know, why don't you make a blood contract." Edward pointed out while grinning. "Making a blood contract with someone else will cause those two be linked, as thus what she feels you feel so if she gets hurt so will you."

Van looked at Edward for a moment, curious as to why he would suggest that. "If you do that then it would prove that you're willing to die with her as one can't die until the other dies too."

"You just want my blood," Rose snarled.

"No, blood contracts are different besides vampires can't feed from other vampires." Van shook his head. "A blood contract is formed by both parties slitting their hands slightly and then joining their blood together."

"Isn't that deadly?" Rose asked, "I know it causes deadly diseases in humans."

"Since you don't need to make a too deep a wound it heals, vampires have fast healing after all." Edward explained.

"I mean the blood mixing in general," Rose explained.

"Oh, no." Van and Edward both shook their heads.

"But I'd prefer another method of proof," Rose replied as she looked into Van's eyes seductively. She was wanting to see if her new powers would actually even work.

Van grinned. "Do you want me to ask you to marry me?"

"Not yet," Rose replied softly, "I have something better in mind..." before gently leaning in and nibbling his ear, trying to use her hypnotizing abilities.
