"So you're not scared by the fact that I just appeared out of nowhere?" Van asked while raising an eyebrow. "Rose, how are you feeling?"

"Like I've been run over by a train," Rose groaned, "The sun makes me feel even worse..."

"Well that's to be expected." Van stated as he walked inside of the room and proceeded to cover the windows with the drapes. "Rose. I have something to tell you." he stated, his fangs coming out. "I'm a vampire, and now you are too."

"Um, what?" Rose asked in disbelief.

"You're a vampire." Van nodded his head. "You know what a vampire is right?" he stated curiously.

"Yes, but...what?" Rose spoke once again in disbelief, "I mean..how...when...what?"

"The bite I gave you yesterday." Van answered simply.

"I don't remember," Rose replied.

"Well point is." Van raised his index finger. "When I bit you I converted you into a vampire, this way your disease is practically cured."

Rose couldn't believe what she was hearing. She was now a vampire in exchange for getting her disease cured.

"...What...does all of this mean?" she asked.

"It means you get the fangs." Van said as he slowly sat down on the bed. "You're vulnerable to the sun, don't worry you're not weak to garlic but your sense of smell is increased so it's a bothersome smell."

"I actually love garlic," Rose replied.

"Oh, then you should have no problem." Van nodded his head. "There really is no difference aside from the fangs and the vulnerability to the sun." he shrugged. "We do get enhanced abilities and there is the hunger for blood."

"Oh lovely," Rose sighed.

"Well the good news is." Van interrupted. "That there's a way to control it." he nodded his head and smiled. "I for one wait a while, I only bite those that deserve it."
