Thread: The End is Here (Regireece and Black Dog)

Reece was still driving, shunning attempts for Parker to take the wheel. "I'm fine" or "just another 10 minutes" he said. He made the same stops for energy drinks. By the time they pulled up again in the city, reeces whole arm had gone a deep shade of grey. "uh, guys!" he yelled

Carly was relieved, "thank, god" she let out a sigh, and let Parker tie her arm to her waist. "hah, I can't even feel the arm, pinch it, go on"

"I thought that you couldn't feel it in the first place," Parker said, but he pinched her arm anyway. He smiled. Reece yelled and he whirled around. Reece's arm was darkening, becoming darker that Carly's arm. He could see Reece's veins pulsating throughout the arm.

"Reece," he said. "I need to talk to you. Alone." He opened the dorr and walked outside.

Reece climbed out of the seat, and out onto the pavement. Before he let parker begin, he lit up a cigarette, "that... Is awesome" he said, aimed at the cigarette. He came back into reality with "Okay, so, basically, My arms dead."

"Yeah," Parker began. "What're you going to do about it? If either of you infect me, we are screwed." Parker was being as calm as anyone could possibly be in the aftermath of an apocolypse. he looked back at the camper. "I've got Carly's arm tied to her body. I think we should do the same for you. It should at least minimize whatever damage is to come."

"no" he rejected. "it's just dead at the moment. I don't want it tied, let's just get in there and get the antidote" he said a's he called Carly out.

"hey, what's up? Ew!" she cringed "that's worse than mine!".

Parker looked at Reece's arm. It was gray. It stuck out back past his elbow, and his fingers were begining to turn into claws. It was only half-mutated, and It did looke gruesome.

"Carly," he said, still watching the arm. "Did your arm just stop working out of the blue before it mutated?"

"well, uh" she looked at Reece, not wanting to condemn him "not exactly..."

"I'm not going to hurt him, I just want to know what transpired with your arm so we might have a timeframe, and we might know what's to come." That wasn't true. Parker was just trying to prove a point. Reece would have to have is arm tied off the minute it moved.

Reece wanted to change the topic, "right, back in guys! 30 miles left!"

Parker stuck is arm out in front of Reece to stop him from getting into the driver's seat. "I'll drive."

Reece snorted. "right. Well I'll be on the roof." He said a's he carelessly climbed the bonnet and onto the roof.

"I guess he wanted to drive..." Carly stated

"I know he wanted to drive, Carly. But he can't. Not for long, anyway. I'm not going to put him in that situation. What if his arm starts to move on its own? What if it attacks him? Or us? There are just to many possibilities. And want to see as few as possible. I don't want anyone else to get hurt."

"no, no, thats perfectly understandable. Just put your foot down dude." she said a's she climbed to the roof in time a's the van pulled off

Parker drove all the way back to the lab. It seemed even worse in the sunlight. Windows shattered, whole blocks burned down to the ground. Nobody to be found. No birds were audible. The only sound other than the camper van's engine, and Reece and Carly was a car horn that was stuck. It was loud, and it echoed around the city. It was almost like some apocalyptic movie.

Reece and Carly jumped from the roof of the camper, and Reece climbed into the van to get the satchel full of guns.
