The Element Emeralds: In Your Favour *Me(Alex64) and That Guy*

They had gone through a door marked 'DISTRICT 12 STYLISTS', which led to a kind of small foyer, with four rooms leading off- one for each member of the styling team. These doors would reveal that, alongside Middy and Herbert, the two female members of the prep team were called Ellie and Jane.

They'd probably be in Middy's room, Jade thought, opening the door to his room.

This was the correct assumption. Currently, there was a screen set up, behind which stood two mannequins with what one would assume to be their costumes on. However, the screen currently obscured them from view. The stylist and his team were waiting for the Tributes in front of the screen.

“Hey guys,” Wes greeted them. “I guess ya have our costumes ready?”

"Yep!" Middy grinned. "I just know you'll love them. And if you want to try them on, we can leave the room. If you want."

“Sure, why not?” Jade asked.

He gestured at the screen, then to his team, in time with his speech.
"They're behind there...So we'll leave you to it." He and the prep team left the room.

Moments later, both Wes and Jade were in their costumes.
“Alright, you can come in now!” Wes called.

Middy led his team back into the room. Herbert seemed impressed (in a quiet, artistic way), and Ellie and Jane started giggling and applauding with glee.
"So, what do you think?" Middy asked the Tributes.

The costumes appeared to be made of pure, solid, prismatic diamonds that glistened brightly in the light. It was not as though they were covered in a plethora of tiny diamonds- but rather that they themselves were one huge gem each. The hems of Wes' shirt and Jade's dress were studded with gold-coloured gems, as were the cuffs of their sleeves, the ankles of Wes' trousers and the staps of their shoes. Middy produced a crown for each of them to wear, too- also of this diamond-looking material, inlaid with twelve gems, each a different colour. However, touching any of these costume components would reveal it mostly to be an illusion; the outfits were not jewel-encrusted, nor made of gems; they were simply made of a silky, velvety material that closely resembled the jewels they were meant to represent.

Both Tributes replied positively.
“Great.”
“I love it!”

"And it doesn't even finish there! ...But I'm keeping that ace up my sleeve until you get on your chariot for the parade. Speaking of which...Time check, Herbie!"
"Twenty minutes," Herbert said. "...And don't call me Herbie."

“Just twenty minutes until the parade?” Wes asked.

"Until it starts, anyway. Chances are, Flickerman and Templesmith will spend, like, five minutes introducing the show. And then the chariots go in District order, so there'll probably be about six minutes between the Ones going and you going. Still, doesn't hurt to be early. In fact, if you really wanted, we could go now."

“Better early than late,” Jade said.

"Come on, then." Middy led them and the prep team out of the room, and all the way to the elevator. They would be heading to the floor below the floor where they had first met Middy.
