"III..." An odd name, Kotori had never heard it before and Yuma had never mentioned the name. "Shark, wait... I think you're being too hasty!" She attempted to stop him and began to pull his arm and walk in the direction where Yuma was looking. "If you talk to him, maybe you can clear some things up."

Incredibly irritated by the way Kotori just grabbed his arm like that, he aggressively pulled away. Still, maybe talking to him about it wouldn't be too bad of an idea. It could clear some things up... Maybe?

"Tch. Fine, I guess take me to him." He said while walking slightly ahead.

Giving a slight smile to Shark, she nodded and began to show him the way. Looking back every so often to make sure he was still following, they finally made it to Yuma.

"Yumaaa!!" She yelled over, hoping Yuma would hear. "Huh? Kotori? Didja find Shark?!" Yuma said, running over. He then noticed Shark's purple hair; she found him. "Look for yourself and see." She laughed slightly and then walked away, realizing she no longer needed to intrude on their business. Yuma can handle the rest...

'Eh? Kotori, what are you---" He then stopped, realizing he should be talking to Shark right now. "So, Shark... uh, you had me worried, leaving the house so suddenly! Did you go somewhere?"

Noticing how Kotori left, Shark thought maybe she wasn't as intruding as he thought she originally was. There was no time to think about that though, now Yuma was in front of him.

"Yeah, I was going somewhere...I'm leaving your place." Shark merely said back, not knowing if he should bring up how Yuma supposedly thought of him as a nuisance.

Leaving... my place..?

Dumbstruck from Shark's blunt statement, Yuma stood for a moment shocked. "Yuma, does this mean Shark will never return?"

Ignoring Astral, Yuma ran over to Shark and grabbed his shoulder. "Wait, Shark! Hang on, leaving?! As in... never coming back?!" He shouted, full aware that that was of course what he meant. "But... why?! Shark, I thought you and I... we're friends!"

Feeling Yuma's hand on his shoulder, Shark thought about knocking him back, but didn't. Instead, he didn't even look over. "So you wanted me to believe... But then why am I nothing but a pain to you!? Not only that, but second to that pink hair..." He quietly mumbled the last part, so it was barely audible. Taking a deep breathe, he continued, "...It's better this way, so I won't hurt you, but... You didn't have to trick me into thinking we were ever friends." Shark finished, his voice full of anger.

"Trick you...?! Shark, what the hell do you mean, we are friends, I never tried to.... trick you or anything of the sort!" Yuma yelled out, desperate for Shark to believe his claim. "I don't think of you as a pain and... what made you even think that?!" He had no idea on why Shark would randomly get these thoughts. Who would have said something like this to him? To his knowledge, Shark hadn't left the house to have an oppurtunity to speak to anyone...

"Yuma, ask him."

Nodding, Yuma continued, "Did someone... tell you this?"

He had no idea what to believe, but he really did want to believe Yuma not III.

Trying to believe Yuma, Shark decided to answer him. "Yeah, someone did. That III guy told me." Shark said with bitterness in his voice. He kept thinking III was more important to him, and truthfully, that was the part that bothered Shark most.

"III..." Yuma repeated back, trying to recall who he was. Straining his brain trying to remember, Astral spoke up. "That one boy. The one in red with the pink hair." After hearing that, Yuma finally remembered. "Oh! III! That guy who..."

The one who said he liked me...

Awkwardly looking away from Shark, he wasn't sure why III would tell Shark that. And not to mention that it wasn't even true. "Shark, listen! Um... I don't know what he's trying to pull, but it's not true! I wouldn't think that way of you, and..." He stopped mid-sentence to look over at Shark and gaze intently at him. "I want you to stay with me! No matter what! Will you?"

Blushing a little, Shark walked a little ahead, but stopped. "...It's not like I'm not going to see you again, I just... I think it's best if I leave anyway." He said, thinking not only if Yuma's words were true, but also wanting to keep his distance. "I might come back, but..." Shark shook his head and didn't bother finishing his sentence.

"But..." Yuma stopped, wondering what he should say. "Where will you go if you leave..?!" With a sad look, he wanted Shark to stay, so they could remain close and become good friends... but it seemed like Shark was dead set on leaving.

"He said it's not like he will not see you again, Yuma. Isn't that a good thing?"

"Normally... normally it would be, but...." Looking down, he thought of an idea. "What about... a duel..!?"

Not answering, Shark didn't want to tell Yuma where he'd go. If he did, he would just keep pestering him.

"A duel?" He asked, not surprised that Yuma would suggest that. This was Yuma, he always went to dueling when he didn't know how to solve something. "...I see... If I win, I leave, if you win, I have to stay?" Shark smirked, "...Why not."

There's no way he'll beat me. I'll end this as quickly as I can...

"That's right!" Yuma shouted over, walking to the other side of the sidewalk. "Uh, let's go over there to duel!" Yuma lead Shark to a more secluded part of town, one where people wouldn't roam around or get in the way.

I'll definitely win... this is for Shark, and for me!

Getting out his duel disk and D-Gazer, he put them on. "Duel Disk, set! D-Gazer, set!" The A-R Link was established and they were ready to begin dueling. "Uh... should I go first or do you wanna?" He smiled, looking at Shark.

Following Yuma, Shark couldn't help but think of what a waste of time this would be. It couldn't be helped though, and he knew full well Yuma wouldn't back down.

"It doesn't matter to me. Although you may as well." Shark said back while getting his duel disk out, and putting on his D-Gazer.

"Alright!" Yuma shouted, ready to duel Shark. "My turn, draw!" Looking at his hand, Yuma smiled. "Okay, I summon Gagaga Magician in attack mode! I then set one card. I end my turn!" Placing his monster on the field and setting the card, Yuma was now anxious to see what Shark would do.
