Still Megan felt frustratingly helpless.

Dodging the laser projectiles, he shot at the face's eyes, causing it to drop to the floor. Its mouth opened, making its tongue (which had a glowing crystal on it) stick out.
From one of my many conversations with That Guy:
"OOOOHHHHHHHH MARIE HAD A LITTLE LAMB—*ding* Good morning!"
"…DAFFAQ?"

Now Megan felt useful; she ran up and kicked forcefully at the crystal.

Jake assisted wherever he could. The face rose back into the air, but forgot to withdraw its tongue, and, as a result, its crystal as well. If Travis fired at it, or better, if they found a way to pull it off somehow, they could attack it again.

Megan resumed her previous role of doing nothing constructive.

Travis fired at the crystal, but this time, the face dodged out of the way.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Big cast a fishing rod at the crystal on the face's tongue. Was this an attack? Megan found it hard to tell.

The hook caught on the crystal, and the face pulled back, much like a fish would.

The hermit reacted as he would upon hooking a fish- pulling back on the rod while reeling it in. It seemed Big had the practice down to a fine art.

This eventually resulted in the crystal coming clean off the face's tongue with a pop. Without the crystal to power it, the face and hands fell to ground, devoid of any signs of life. After a second, a blue Sol Emerald fell out of the face's nose.

Big gave the crystal a spiteful kick, despite its defeat having occurred already.

Travis picked up the Sol Emerald. A small bark alerted them to Amaterasu's presence.

Megan caught herself just in time to twitch, rather than flinch proper. She hadn't been expecting Amaterasu to arrive, let alone as quickly as this.

Travis was somewhat expecting this. She was the sun goddess, after all.
She walked over to Travis, and took the Sol Emerald from him, seeming approving of their progress thus far.

Megan wasn't entirely sure of how to react at this stage. Big was simply staring at them blankly.
