Leonel pushed harder, not wanting to underestimate the doll.

From one of my many conversations with That Guy:
"OOOOHHHHHHHH MARIE HAD A LITTLE LAMB—*ding* Good morning!"
"…DAFFAQ?"

His force was sufficient to push the doll backwards while engaged in the pseudo-sword-clash. Seeing this, it disengaged itself by taking a swipe at the sword with its free hand, then launching itself at Travis' face.
I still don't have a banner for it, but I'm going to keep the link to this wiki in my sig' anyway. Y'know, because it means a lot to me.

Travis ducked, and countered with a backflipping kick.

It was knocked such that it landed face-down on the floor, which bent as it landed, absorbing the doll, then returning to normal. A moment later, the doll launched itself from somewhere higher up, claws-first, at Leonel's face.

Leonel responded by thrusting his sword upwards at the doll.

A swift reaction allowed it to swing down the sword via its claws, then jump to the floor, ready to resume proper combat.

Travis fired a few rounds at the doll.

It swiped each shot aside, though if the blowtorch incident had been anything to go by, it need not have bothered.

Leonel used this distraction to take another stab at the doll.

The laser-blade sank into the doll a little way, and its gem began to flash again.
Fine. I'll let you go...for now. This was followed by another bright flash, and suddenly, Travis and Leonel were back where they had confronted the doll in the house, though the doll was notably absent.

The boys holstered their weapons.
"Even though we've defeated the doll," Leonel said, "I get the feeling we haven't truly beaten it."

They were permitted a moment of quiet to think this idea over before Carol approached them.
"Did Jeane tell either of you where she's going? She left just now, acting like it was perfectly fine, so I kind of assumed you'd given her permission to go somewhere. To see a doctor, maybe, about that weird look she's got about her all of a sudden."

"No, I didn't…!" Suddenly realizing the danger behind this, Leonel ran out of the house. Travis hesitated, before following him out.

Carol cast a hand in his direction as he left, as if somehow trying to catch him without moving.
"Leonel, wait! What's the matt--? ...Aaaaaand he's gone."

Outside, Leonel called, "Jeane! Where are you?!"
