You are in an attic. There is a window, which has a view on the forest. There is a torch, a pen knife, and a gun. Take one of these, and then proceed down the ladder out of the attic.

Ben never was good at following directions, so he took the pen knife, the torch, and the gun. Then he opened the window and checked for a way to get down.
"Hello? Can someone help me?" He asked. He tried to take the ladder and use it to climb out the window.

The ladder creaked, threatening to snap. It would probably be best to go downstairs. Like a sane person would.

Ben was not by any means a sane person. Still, he folded the pen-knife and put it in his pocket. He checked the gun for ammo and familiarized himself with where the safety was, turning it on. With the gun tucked in his other pocket and the torch in his mouth, he climbed down the ladder.

Ben knocked on the door nearest him, holding the gun in his pocket, ready to pull it out if anything nasty came at him.

Inside the door was a hotpress. There were numerous towels and assorted laundrey. Better find another door. There was now one on either side of him, or two at the sides of the walls, and one behind him.

Ben took off his clothes and uses the towels to make a toga, then knocks on a random door.

The closest door was to his left. The room's lights seemed to be burst. There was a large double bed, and another door to the side, possibly leading to an en-suite. There was a wardrobe and two presses as well. Other than that, the room was bare.

Ben took the sheet off the bed, and used his pen knife to cut two eye holes on it. He then draped it over himself.
"Woooooooo!" He said, pretending to be a ghost and jumping on the bed, accidentally shooting the wardrobe.

The wardrobe rattled a little, but nothing came out. Would you leave the room, or check the en-suite? It's unlikely there's anything of value up here, and you need to escape.

Inside was another bedroom. Yet again, there was a double bed, and there was a large wardrobe, again. For some reason, this room felt more like a child's room than the other.

A chill went down Ben's spine.
