"I don't mind," Travis said as he put his Pokédex away.

"Sounds like a great idea!" James grinned, as he reached out for his new Piplup. The Pokémon, on the other hand, stepped back, before jumping down the table and into the floor. It clearly wanted to take lead.

"Awesome, then let's go!" Danny cheered. "Bye guys!" he said to Dawn, Lucas, and Professor Rowan.

Dawn and Lucas waved goodbye. The professor mumbled "Mhm."

"Such nice people," Danny said, throwing the front door open.

The pride-stricken Piplup followed behind Danny, and James had no choice but to do the same.

"The professor was a bit of a grouch, though," Valencia said.

Travis waved back at Dawn and Lucas and silently followed everyone else.

Danny ran outside, took a deep breath and said, "Ok, who knows where we're supposed to go?"

"I suppose North towards Jubilife, since West isn't much of an option." James gave his opinion. He then kneeled down toward his Piplup. He slowly reached for the Pokémon and managed to grab it gently before raising it and placing him on his shoulder. The Piplup looked unamused, but didn't bother fighting.

"Sounds good to me," Danny said, setting down Buddy. "We'll race you guys there!" he cheered before running off toward the north.

"Hey, get back here, silly!" Valencia giggled, running after Danny, while still carrying Psyduck.

Sheesh, that guy's full of energy... Travis thought as he chased after Danny.

Not wanting to be left behind, James followed behind his new friends and his partner on his shoulder, this being one of his happiest days he's had.

"Well, now what?" Sheldon asked the Burmy sitting in his lap as they finally had found the Pokémon Center. The two had been sitting in the lobby for a good while before getting bored.

"This blows." Sheldon sighed and sank in his seat. "I was hoping for more fun by now..." He closed his eyes for a second and then felt a bang on his lap. "OW!" He cried in pain. "Wh-what.. I was just trying to sleep, Burmy!" He gasped and stood up in annoyance. "Come on, let's find the Contest Hall and get a Contest Pass. That'll buy us some time before we get bored again." He spoke as he stomped out of the Pokémon Center with Burmy hopping hurriedly to keep up.

Danny reached the edge of the town and stopped to wait for his new friends. "Ok Buddy, keep a sharp eye out for any Pokemon. I don't want to miss out on a single opportunity to catch us a new friend," he told his Chikorita. Buddy nodded in agreement.

Valencia caught up not long after, stopping inches from slamming directly into Danny.

"Next time, we start running at the same time," she giggled.
