Thread: 2 Months Vacation (Me and Elphie)

"I know I've heard that somewhere before, but I can't remember where."

"Heard what?"

"That 'looks are deceiving' thing."

36 hours later...

Calvin was sleeping in a lobby chair, giving off waves of anxiety. He'd been anxiously waiting for Maya's surgery to be done.

"Calvin, Calvin!" Camille said, waking him up.

"What, what?"

"You have someone waiting for you in a room down this hall!" She dragged him down the hall, literally, towards a room in which Maya was waiting after her surgery.

Maya was stirring slightly when they walked in, and the feelings in the room nearly knocked them off their feet. The sedation/anesthiac was wearing-off, and Maya, though unconscious, was hurting.

As soon as Calvin walked in, he clutched his head, and pulled an about-face. "I'll come back later."

Camille followed him.

Brianne rolled her eyes and gave Maya some pain-medication, which quickly did its job.

The twins were already back in the lobby, Calvin having had to take a headache pill.

Cal's PokeNav bleeped. It should be fine now. & My's wakin-up, & u know she'll freak if u're not here. -Bri

I'm gonna wait a few more minutes. It was like walking into a room saturated with radiation. And believe me, I've been in heavily radiated rooms. Camille's not as sensitive, so she's coming. -Cal

Maya slowly opened her eyes. Her fingers found the spot on the back of her head where a patch of her hair had been shaved so the doctors could open her up. There was gauze on it, and it was tender. There was also something on the gauze, something warm that tinged her fingers red as she pulled her hand back.

Camille came in, and immediately went to Maya's side. "Hey, how are you- is that blood?" She whispered. "Where are you bleeding from? Hey Bri, she's bleeding!"

"My head, where they did the surgery at." Maya replied.

Bri came-over. "That's to be expected. It'll stop after a while." She put some fresh gauze on over it.

"They did a poor job patching you up if you ask me." Camille said. "A little pressure would stop the bleeding."

Maya flopped back down onto the pillow.
