Okay. Here we come. But you just woke me up. After sending the reply, Calvin got up and carried Chistery back.
Bri was waiting for him in the lobby. "Get some sleep. You need it, too."
"But I was asleep."
"Sitting on the asphalt. I meant real sleep."
"Technically, I was sitting in the grass against a tree." Calvin yawned. "And I was having a really good dream."
Bri raised an eyebrow, then shook her head. "I don't wanna know. Go back to the hotel and grab some shut-eye."
"Yes, mom." Calvin said with a chuckle, leaving.
"I heard that!"
((Next day?))
The next day, Calvin decided to spend the day exploring and let Maya rest. He was walking through town with Camille, and the whole time, he felt that they were being watched and followed.
Suddenly, a violent pain exploded in his head, feeling like it was being ripped. A noise sounded in his head, a high-pitched scream of pain.
Calvin seized up immediately, and his mind shut down to block out the pain and sound.
"Calvin?!" Camille gasped, looking around. He'd just passed out for seemingly no reason. Ignoring curious eyes, she took him back to the hotel.
Bri rrushed into Maya's hospital-room to find her screaming and writhing in agony.
Camille put Calvin in his bed and stared at him. He was stone still, not moving and barely breathing.
"What's wrong?" Bri asked, running over to Maya. Her hands were clutching her head, and tears were pouring down her face. She was still screaming.
"I wonder... what could have done this to him...?" Camille muttered.
"Mental connection to someone in pain." A voice said.
