Thread: The Viridescent Hero (Start-Up)

Though Ophelia was a sucker for sob stories, she still wanted to win. Just because she wanted to say that she could win something. Trying to nag the gym badges may not have worked out for her, but this time around she was going to try harder and not give up when going got tough... or when a group of Onix nearly killed her.

"I'm Ophelia," she said loud and clear. "And I'm here to win."

"You all can stop calling me Cog. My real name is Anthony. As for you..." He turned to Indigo. "How unfortunate of Ozias. He never trusted me... You don't seem to either. No one's ever trusted the demonic grin or the red eyes."

"...Apparently with good reason."

"How can you trust a 15-year old more than a 17-year old? Have a look-see." Cog's body shifted until he became a teenager with dark hair and green eyes. "I can only stay human for an hour..."

OOC: The RP's gonna slow down eventually. And Cog's clothed.

"There's only so much more of this madness I can handle," Ophelia shook her head as Cog changed into a human.

"The Gallade is splitting." Indigo now had no intention of continuing the conversation, nor talk. Cobalion had other ideas. It re-drew its Sacred Sword as a threat toward Anthony.

"Splitting? What do you mean by that?"

"He says he's soon to be not one but both. I don't understand it either."

"...Splitting?" Ophelia asked, raising an eyebrow. "That makes no sense..."

Indigo ceased talking. Cobalion still had Sacred Sword drawn.

"Anyways..." Seth interjected, "Let's start, regardless of who comes. I'm going to give each of you 1000 for equipment." he handed a check to each of the contestants. "First hint: Don't look in the vast white for the deep black. Bridgett, please keep an eye on our cybernetic friend."

Ophelia's eyebrows furrowed at the sight of his cobalion ready to attack once more. She was starting to dislike this kid. Just because he had some fancy Pokemon didn't give him reason to let the thing run amok. As much as she'd love to put it in its place she didn't want her group of misfits getting hurt.

"That thing has a short temper," she said clicking her tongue.

I couldn't help but agree when Ophelia talked about the Cobalion. I wondered if there were any others here that we as fucked up as me; I would find out myself eventually but I was quite scared to be honest. Ambition surged in me, and it pushed me forward. I would get the prize money. I would find my mom.

Even if it kills me.

I took the check from Seth and looked at it, making sure it was for one thousand dollars and wasn't fake. It wasn't, so this must actually be legit.

So now that I got the money, what should I get for equipment? Should I stock up on more food and clothes? Maybe I could get a tent, some rope, a first aid kit, and other necessities. It would be kind of like camping, wouldn't it?

OOC: You misspelled cheque.

"It's protective. Don't ask me why. Let's go." Indigo walked out of the door, and Cobalion followed, glaring at Anthony until it was out of sight.

"So it either isn't in the sky... or it isn't near Reshiram. I'm guessing both." Indigo clambered onto Cobalion's back, and the Iron Will Pokémon began to run towards Dragonspiral Tower. If they weren't to look in the white for the black, Indigo would search in the dark grey for it.

Ophelia pocketed the check. She thought long and hard about the clue as she bade the others farewell. Though she was almost certain they were all going to run into each other again.

She unclipped a pokéball from her side and threw the ball to the ground. Out came Crown, her slowbro- who wasn't terribly stupid like other of its kind.

"Crown I need your help," she told the Pokemon that looked around at its surroundings.
