"It's gone... All of it."
Lucien's voice was softer than usual. His elegant accent was gone. Each word wasn't pressed to the kiss of his usual passion. His eyes were tinged with the taint of his chagrin. Running a hand smoothly through the light five 'o clock shadow which had set in, he blinked. One. Twice. Three times. Blotting out the images of Trebloome Academy's flaming ruins, he bit down on his scarlet bottom lip.
Card's voice was rough. Cold. Smooth. He was the personification of steel... And that steel was beginning to bend.
"Yes, Lucien... It's gone. All of it. Our creation. Our haven. The students... Their icy haven has vanished."
Turning his head to the slender, handsome man, Card shook his head. Card's hand trailed across the surface of his black fur coat, finding a deep pocket. From the pocket, a Luxury ball was produced.
"Monarch... We're going to be stronger. We're going to stand against him, once more."
The lights above gently reflected across the ball's smooth surface, catching Lucien's eye.
"Sir... We will fight them, again. Should we put the students in harm's way?"
Card smirked coldly, releasing the iron behemoth within the ball. His Metagross, Monarch, quickly scanned the room with unfeeling eyes, before looking to Card.
"Do not worry about them. They will face December..."
"What if they fail, Johnathan?"
"They won't. We will make them strong. They will shatter him."
The airport provided succor from the cold, silent airport. It was a private hangar, though state-of-the-art. Smooth white surfaces surrounded the room; a sprawling tunnel of glass led to a tightly shut flight dock. A sleek, smooth jet of slate-grey lie in wait. The Baroness was engraved into the side with bold, sleek white letters.
Card gently twirled his cane beside the jet, Lucien close at his side. Crossing his arms smoothly, Lucien looked down the glassy tunnel, a spark returning to his passionate crimson eyes.
"It looks like the first students are arriving..."
Card smiled, tossed his cane in the air a few inches, and caught it in a single, fluid motion.
"And so it begins... Once again."
