Erin had begun making her way toward up the basin of Mt. Ember, her wits about her in this most assuredly arid location. Next to her walked her Hitmonlee, who made to survey the area for his trainer. He was vigilant, making sure nothing went wrong for the two of them. At least here, Erin would be able to find something worth while. The feather of Mt. Ember... what a prize that would be.

"Wouldn't it be great to find something other than the feather, too, Hitmonlee?" her Pokemon answered with his cry, making the girl smirk a bit at the prospect. However, if fate had anyway of dealing with her, her doting brother would probably swoop in and stop her from doing anything strenuous. God forbid she broke a nail.

"Let's hope that doesn't happen, then..."

Jeremy Stone stared up at the imposing mountain in front of him. He knew climbing from the outside would be difficult, which was why he had another idea. This wasn't the first time he had traversed a mountain, and it probably wouldn't be the last either. The explorer was dressed in his normal clothes, brown boots, brown pants, a brown shirt that was tucked into the pants, and a green vest on top of that. Jeremy brushed his semi-long brown hair out of his face as he continued to look up the mountain. As usual, he also had his backpack on his back filled with all the supplies he expected on needing, revives and such for his pokemon, some snacks for himself, along with some rope, a knife, climbing gear, a flash light, and a sleeping back rolled up and kept on the outside. The young explorer knew this would probably be one of his most challenging hunts, so he had made sure to pack everything he might possible need for the journey.

He continued to look around and assess his surroundings, in front of him was the mountain which, while not a steep increase at its base, Jeremy could tell the incline got steeper the higher it went up. Behind him was the ocean, waves gently washing upon the rocks that he stood on. The hunter turned and faced the ocean and took a Pokeball off his belt, throwing it in front of him toward the water. With a bright flash, his Mantine appeared before him in, looking quite pleased to be back in the open ocean. "I want you to swim underwater and see if you can find any caves that lead into the mountain, alright?" Jeremy asked his Pokemon, to which Mantine responded with a nod and then quickly dove underwater. The explorer turned and faced the mountain once more, starring towards its summit, eagerly anticipating reaching his treasure.

The shores of Mt. Ember were rough and unkind. Even with shoes, Oliver could feel the slightest of pain every step he took. Pain is something Oliver has refused to let in. It only slows him down and he can't have that. His prize awaited on the top of Mt. Ember and he needed to be strong and fast in order to make it their before someone else does. Oliver is a strange man who wears cloaks and capes instead of normal people who wear shirts and jeans. He currently wears a wavy blue cape with a big pokeball picture on the back. His red shirt covered up by it. His blue pants match his cape having Oliver took very blue in the distance. He also wears rough leather boots that would normally help him walk on such rough soil but this place was just to rough.

Oliver always has his beloved Glaceon by his side but this is a rare exception were that is not the case. He currently travels with his pokemon in their pokeballs for the rough soil would penetrate their innocent feet. Oliver made his way up the pass towards Mt. Ember, hoping that the ground became lighter as he went.

Just as Will stepped off of the private ferry, he felt a subtle vibration in his pocket. It was his PokéGear. He answered, and found it was his client. Hopefully he could get some extra information.

"Hello... More Hunters?... I expected as much... Anything about them... No? Okay. Let me get on with the mission... Bye."

Will hoped this man wouldn't be one of the 'involved' clients. He hated them. It just made it harder to do his job. He turned to the Notes section of his PokéGear to review the mission before starting.

"Okay", he thought to himself, "Gotta get a Moltres feather. The goal sounds simple, but execution should be pretty hard."

Will had a plan though. He had thought there would be others, and his client had just confirmed that. Will thought that the other Hunters would just climb the mountain. His plan was to come from behind, which is why he was dropped off at the back. He had the necessary supplies in his backpack, and was wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans with a belt containing three PokéBalls. His Umbreon was always by his side, and it being a black Pokémon was convenient.

"Okay Umbreon. Try and use your psychic abilities to find a secret backdoor entrance."

    "Um. Umbreon!"

@HM02; As Will's Umbreon scanned the area it was able to discover a small entrance to the side of the mountain. It was pretty hard to spot in the darkness of the night, but there was a faint cloud of steam coming out from it.
@Terram Validus; On Jeremy's side the wate rbegan to increase in temperature as his Mantine swam through it, of course this meant that it was also approaching one of the many springs inside of the mountain itself, though it could become dangerous for a human or even a Pokemon to spend too much time in the hot water like that.

"Umbreon!" Will heard his faithful partner cry out and knew that Umbreon was on to something.

"Use Flash, but direct it in the direction of what you found," he whispered to Umbreon.

Suddenly, and only for the slightest amount of time, a bright, white light appeared on the side of the mountain. There was the smallest of openings. It was a tight fit, but Will managed to get in. Umbreon had no problem. After about thirty feet, the narrow crevice turned more and more into a cavern.

"If we can manage to avoid the Zubat", Will thought to himself, while looking around, "We'll be in pretty good shape!"

And with that, Will and Umbreon ventured into the darkness, the only light coming from the faint glow of Will's PokéGear and Umbreon's glow. Thankfully that was enough...

As the two began to make their way into the entrance of the caverns of Mt. Ember, Erin could only gaze around the cave's interior. It was quite stable. However, rocks would be a problem for those attempting to travel easily. Taking out a PokeBall, the woman threw up the sphere to release her Eelektross.

"Eelektross, try and feel out a magnetic center in the rocks," she stated to the eel-like Pokemon. It complied, beginning to feel the electricity around it.

Hopefully, she could find an electromagnetic center in the rocky terrain, which would allow her to better traverse the cave.

Mauve scaled up the side of the mountain, still slightly concerned about others in his way. He stopped in his tracks, and pondered the situation. "Well, I could try to SLOWLY make my way up and take out the competition, as opposed to scaling up here in broad daylight... Arbok, dig a tunnel for the both of us into a cavern." He commanded as he unclipped his Arbok's pokeball from the necklace. "Chaaarrr-bok." Arbok thrust itself into the mountain, creating a new tunnel inside Mt. Ember.

Sure, it was a slightly tight fit, but he was able to "slither" his way in. This way, he could have his Arbok out with him as well.

Almost as is on cue a large jet of flames was fired straight towards Will, the flames managing to light their way through the darkness as it headed towards him and his Umbreon.

A small rock bounced off from the walls and fell on the floor in front of Erin. Following it was the sound of rocks gracing against each other; however there was also something else, the sound of something just slithering through the wall and making more, smaller rocks fall down on the floor. Not too long after a loud roar resounded throughout the room before a large Onix appeared in front of Erin and her Pokemon.

    "What the..."

As Will and Umbreon were walking, a jet of flames headed straight towards them. They managed to jump out of the way, but at least they had a lit path from the leftover embers. Will could see the way he needed to go, so he just kept walking when he remembered something.

"Wow, Umbreon. Do I feel stupid? I had a flashlight on my PokéGear this whole time. Oh, well. Guess we don't need it now." Will was talking to his Umbreon, their wasn't anything else to do, and no need to be quiet.

"Umbreon!" His Pokémon shouted, seeming in agree-ance with Will's stupidity.

Mantine returned to the surface of the water, appearing once more in front of its trainer. The Pokemon shook its head and replied, "Mantine." Jeremy knew what his Pokemon was trying to tell him, so he took the Pokeball of his belt and returned Mantine saying, "Well, thanks for looking." He turned back to the mountain and began to walk, searching for an entrance into one of Mt. Ember's many caverns. Jeremy knew that Mt. Ember had caverns that were sometimes hotsprings, and sometimes had lava in them, so me made sure to be extra careful beofre aimlessly wandering in to one.

Upon finding a tunnel entrance that was large enought to walk into, Jeremy took out his flashlight and began to slowly walk inside the Mountain.

Will and Umbreon decided to stop for sleep. They had been walking for some time, and when they arrived they had not slept for quite a while. Will had no tent, but laid out a sleeping bag and a two light blankets. One was for him. The other was for Umbreon. He had picked a spot where the seemingly irregular bursts of flame could not get to him, but it was very dark. Hopefully he didn't overlook any other dangers.

Unbeknownst to Will a Pokemon was looming over him and his Pokemon as well. The Pokemon stepped on the floor calmly, it raising its head as it approached the Treasure Hunter as stealthy as it could. Unfortunately, before the Pokemon could get any closer it kicked a rock away.
@Terram Validus; Jeremy's flashlight was able to light through the darkness, something else happened though, as the light fell upon the rocky walls of the cave it revealed a kind of passage that seemed to go up the mountain.

"An Onix, huh?" Erin stated. She watched as the Rock Snake Pokemon began to converge on her, with her only assumption being that it was looking for some prey. Looks like she fit the bill, perfectly. "Alright then," the girl looked to her Hitmonlee, motioning for him to go forward.

"Hitmonlee, let's start this off with a Low Sweep!" she commanded.

"Lee!!" the Pokemon cried out, rushing in low to send a sweeping leg under the Onyx. Hopefully she could trip it from the tail down and finish with one of her more powerful moves. If not... well then, she'd have another strategy for it.

"Chaarrrrr... CHARBOK!" Arbok broke through an unknown part of a cave. After slithering outwards, Mauve followed suit. "Well... not the most conventional way of getting there, but hey. Nice work, partner." He rubbed the top of Arbok's head, getting a pleasant hiss out of the Cobra Pokemon. "Let's get moving." He stepped forwards into the dark cave, with Arbok close behind him. Mauve had turned on his flashlight, pointing it towards what appeared to be an upward path. "Well well. Maybe we can get there without any interruptions. Come, Arbok." The trainer and Pokemon began to make their way upwards, unknown as to what was ahead.
