Lila walked over to the edge and pulled off her coat, socks, hat, and shoes so that all she had on was a T-shirt and jeans. She jumped into the water, swimming alongside her Oshawott. She grabbed Cilan by the collar as she was treading water.
"Hey. Stop panicking or you WILL drown. Got it? And do you know how to swim or not?"
Cress pulled Lila and Genevieve out of the water as he dived in and saved his brother from death, although he was pretty close.
"Thank you! You'd think a grass-type gym leader would know how to swim!!" Merla said as they climbed out of the water. "Doesn't grass technically have an advantage over water?"
"Ha ha ha good point." said Genevieve. "Uh, Chili, get your car."
"Who drives cars on a pokemon journey? Shouldn't we train?" Lila asked. "Besides, we're all wet. Do you really want us in a car?"
"I can fix that," Merla replied. "Castform, Sunny Day."
The Castform stared blankly at her. "Cast... Castform?"
"I know it's already sunny out! Make it brighter, so they'll dry off!"
"Castform!" The little pokemon used Sunny Day and made the sun shine hotter and brighter. Everyone who was wet dried off pretty quickly, but now it was rather hot.
Lila put her coat, shoes, socks, and hat back on and returned Oshawott. "Thanks. But back to what I was saying earlier, we can't train if we're in a car, can we?!"
"Cilan???? CILAN!!!!!!!" Genevieve and Chili yelled. "Jinx!" said Chili. Genevieve shook her head. "Cilan needs the care of Nurse Joy." said Chili.
"But Nurse joy specializes in pokemon, not humans! He needs a real doctor!" Merla replied.
"What's wrong with him?!" Lila asked.
Cilan woke up. "Where am I? Who are you people?" he asked.
"What is this, delayed-effect contagious disease?" Merla asked grumpily. "These are your triplet brothers, Chili and Cress. I'm Merla and this is Lila, and this is Genevieve and... this guy I never got the name of."
Lila's Shuppet was behind him. The little pokemon crept up, then used Astonish, scaring the living daylights out of the former gym leader.
"Shuppet!" Lila scolded.
Cilan said "Huh?" Chili lifted him into the car and the trio drove off.
"Um... do they really need a doctor if it's just Pokenesia? Can't they just cure him the same way as me...?" Lila asked as the car drove off.
"Eh. Dunno." Merla replied.
"Wait..... Get my kit, Plusle." Genevieve said as she sent out Plusle. "PLUS!" it said as it got her kit. "Plusle, return." Genevieve had checked Cilan's temperature and gave him medicine. Or at least tried. "No!" Cilan said as he knocked the orange-flavored medicine away. "Oh boy. This is insanity." said a flustered Genevieve.
"So, he has Pokenesia and what? Kid-itis? Multiple personalities?" Merla said, obviously joking.
"Make him take the medicine. Have someone hold him down!" Lila suggested. "Does anyone have a strong pokemon that will fit in a car?"
An Eevee and Minun had popped out of their Poke Balls and pinned Cilan as Chili and Cress pinned his legs. Genevieve pried open Cilan's mouth and forced the medicine down the throat. "All are possible diseases. Don't take it lightly, Merla." she explained.
